Obama has achievements. He got his $ 787 billion stimulous through, he got cash for clunkers, various programs to prop up housing, squeezed domestic oil production, spent billions and billions on his green energy/jobs programs, Obamacare and topped it off by dividing the country with his class warfare campaign. Unfortunately, the only one that wasn't an abject failure, was his dividing the country with his class warfare efforts.

Actually I don't have a problem with the meaning he had behind his post, just that it was a pain in the butt to scroll through it on my phone. I just make sure that I don't go to the first page of this thread on my phone and all is well.

I agree that the one piece of legislation that did get through regarding the health care act would have been much more effective if there had been a public option, but the insurance companies made sure that didn't happen.

Isn't Medicaid a public option?

LOL Good to see you adhere to the latest Republican Party spin and the "class warfare " crap.  As if the corporations haven't waged and won that over the last 30 years...

Corporations don't wage in class warfare duck, they engage in profiteering.

Politicians engage in class warfare.

Both are pathetic.

I stand corrected.  would it be more correct to say that the government has waged class warfare at the behest of corporate profiteers for the last 30 years?

In total agreement that both are pathetic and when working in concert it is fascism.

No. Working people can not pay to join Medicaid.

Well it has been the most transparent administration ever, right?

I mean didn't they post up all the bills so we could all read them before he signed them?  He must have, he said he was going to.....

Oh well, at least I am going to get free health care like the Canadians and Europeans have.

Now now, don't let the truth interfere with the lefties on this forum, and their savior in the white house.

Hell, CONGRESS didn't even read the bills before they voted on them, let alone allowing his majesties subjects to look at the bills!

Most bills can be read, and have been there.  Last minute changes are another thing.

As far as Congress not reading bills...  I agree.  My impression is that the don't read any of them EVER.  It seems clear that even the ones sponsoring the bills didn't write them or read  them.  Most are written by lobbyists anymore and just submitted by Congresscritters.

But, hey, don't let me take away from your overly partisan stabs.  How else can you kick the dog, so to speak, if you can't make stuff up.

Can one of the leftists / communists / socialists on this forum please explain to me why you have such faith in the US government to provide for your health care?

I can only think of one organization within the federal government which is very good at what they do, but I bet you private entities with the same funding could even do that better given a chance.

The post office is a disaster, hence leading to Fed Ex, UPS, and others to enter the parcel and overnight business.  Medicare is broke.  Social Security was mishandled on an epic scale.  The DOE loans money to political cronies, even though many told them there was no way they were going to recover their investment.

Why do you trust this organization to be your best hope for affordable health care?

On a serious note I would like to thanks all the people serving us in the armed forces, and for all the Veterans out there.  I appreciate the sacrifices you have made for us so we can live free and debate what is better - socialism or capitalism, go to ball games, raise our families in peace and safety, and worship or not worship as we see fit.  Thank you very much.  Your sacrifice made this great nation possible.

Can one of the righties/nazis/fascists on this forum please explain to me why you have such faith in for-profit corporations with an actual, tangible economic incentive to screw you over to provide for your health care?

Excuse me?

You agree with me (because I'm right), then you say I'm kicking the dog, and making stuff up?

Overly partisan stabs?  Ever look in the frickin mirror, Duck?   8*

Because that is their business.

The government has a lot of other things they need to do, and should be doing.  Health care is NOT their job.  Hell, I'd like to be a brain surgeon...  Does that make me one?

Private companies have to spend money wisely, and have a finite source of funds.

Government does not.  This breeds waste, which has been proven time and time again.

Private health care companies have a proven track record managing the system that is in place, and saving people's lives.  No, the system isn't perfect, but it does work.

The government has a proven track record of screwing up practically everything it touches.

So says this righty/nazi/fascist.

Now,

Can one of the leftists / communists / socialists on this forum please explain to me why you have such faith in the US government to provide for your health care?

In addition, you put your life in the hands of those greedy, for-profit corporations each and every time you drive a car.  The auto companies have an actual, tangible economic incentive to screw you over to provide you with wheels, right?

So, what do we do?  Make government run each and every company/industry that has anything to do with personal health and safety?  That is absurd.  I HOPE we can at least agree on that.
