Actually my question is on something I haven't seen in the news yet this morning.

My oldest daughter called me about something she saw on Facebook last night...

a train hit a car on Dunbar Road (tracks closest to Laplaisance).  She wanted to know if I had heard it on the fire scanner.

Maybe I missed it but I didn't hear anything.

Anyone else see something on Facebook or hear something on the scanner?

No, but the MN has a story about the London Township Supervisor (we all know) that someone sabotaged one of his fields with cut off steel fence posts and it's cost him big money in repairs to his combine...

He's offering a $1000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perp.

I'd say someone has a hardon for Live...

Bob Beadles submitted a very good editorial in the Sunday MN.  I suggest reading it....

Sounds like they had quite a mess yesterday at the airport down in Atlanta.  Lots of questions of the root cause but a fire in a small tunnel like area wiped out all the power to the airport except the control tower which has backup power.  I guess I never thought about backup power for an airport before.  Anyway, lots of horror stories of passengers trapped both in the planes on the ground and also in the concourses.

Back when my wife was flying a lot she would go out of her way (and pay more) to get a flight that connected anywhere but Atlanta.  Seems like when she did have to go there the connecting flight was always as far away from her incoming flight as it could physically be.

My opinion of Fry has always been low anyway.  A scant step above a sun bleached dog turd to be exact.

A co-worker made it through ATL about 10 minutes before the power went out.

I hope things are back to normal for his return trip later this week.

It would be a long drive!

I was saying the steel stakes in the field was pretty low

...and cut into shorter lengths no less.  Pretty low.  I know what that will do to a cutter bar.  When I cut hay on a new field, I walk it first to make sure nothing is hidden in the grass.

What is with the groups of 'kids' throwing stuff off the I-75 overpasses and onto vehicles?  Two nearby cases in just a few weeks...

someone dead in both of those and they caught all the throwers.

The one north of Detroit they've kept them locked up and charging them with homicide.  The ones in Toledo last week are too young to charge as adults but so far they've kept them locked up from what I've heard.

Did they all just wake up one morning and say "let's go kill someone out on 75"?

Hard to understand kids that are 13-14 like the ones in Toledo.  I'm guessing they though a sand bag bouncing off the hood of a car would be funny.
