If you're referring to Fort Street's beer, you can only get it at the brewery.  They sell the beer by the pint or you can fill a growler (1/2 gallon jug) and take it home.  Typically, these special beers they do not do growler fills of.   They have a great selection of beers to choose from though.   The food there is fantastic too.

The funnest thing about researching the end of prohibition is something that you are passionate about is covered much like the oil spell is today. Original Gravity will be having a special showing of “Locally Buzzed” on Saturday the 4. It is a documentary about 8 people that travel to 50 Michigan breweries in 8 days. I can’t imagine pulling this off. Sarah and I took a similar trip a few years ago and if it wasn’t for the great people at [...]

“Locally Buzzed” Movie Review (http://www.blogsmonroe.com/beer/2010/09/locally-buzzed-movie-review/)
7 September 2010, 10:14 pm

I attended the screening of “Locally Buzzed” at Original Gravity. I didn’t know what to expect out of this movie but the concept seemed similar to “American Beer”. I didn’t want to see another movie about a group of people drinking to the point of exhaustion while stealing air time away from the breweries. The Locally Buzzed film makers must have [...]

Can Monroe Support a Microbrewery? (http://www.blogsmonroe.com/beer/2010/09/can-monroe-support-a-microbrewery/)
20 September 2010, 10:06 pm

The topic of Monroe needing a microbrewery pops up from time to time on Monroe based chat rooms. One poster will make the argument that this town needs one and inevitably someone else will reply that Monroe won’t or can’t support one. I’m sure you all know what side of the argument I fall on so this post will be [...]

Some new news about the coolest use for an old fire station since “Ghostbusters” or “Spencer: for Hire” involving Michigan Brewing Company and the old Fenton Fire Hall. The sale still needs final approval from the Fenton DDA and city council. The owners are such nice people and their breads (and desserts) are FANTASTIC! ! ! !

I predict they will have to expand from that little shop soon as they will be a widespread success hit very fast ! !   If not for increased square footage inside, then for added parking space necessary to accommodate their patrons.

Don’t tell me they’ve already run out of good ideas for beers to feature. They’re really losing their touch. What gives?” Not to worry, I’ve been told there are still plenty [...]

On this day in 1933 the 21st Amendment was ratified by Utah satisfying the 3/4 states needed to pass the amendment and finally it was legal to sell alcohol again to an eager public. The first is from the Washington Post and is an article about their upcoming Beer Madness 2011. It is definitely worth the read. [...]

House Bill Will Allow Sharing of Homebrew (http://www.blogsmonroe.com/beer/2011/06/house-bill-will-allow-sharing-of-homebrew/)
