We saw and heard it here:

The Geostationary Lightning Mapper aboard @NOAA's #GOES16 may have detected the #fireball that occurred over SE Michigan this evening (upper left corner of image). #meteor #GLM #miwx

UPDATE - Dept. of Homeland Security tells CBS that the incident over the skies of SE Michigan (and elsewhere in the Midwest) around 8:08 p.m. was a "fireball #meteor." No indication of any damage on the ground. Steady stream of traffic tipster calls for the past hour. Whew!

Article with a few videos in the Free Press this morning.

https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2018/01/17/meteor-seen-across-detroit-area-causes-earthquake/1039397001/

When I was pre teen my Dad saw one like that one night.  It hit close enough that we could smell what he described as ozone.  I have no idea how close you would have to be to smell it but my Dad was convinced it had landed right on our farm.  He went out the next afternoon after work and walked all around looking for it.  Back then he plowed with a 2 or 3 bottom plow so he had the opportunity to get a fairly close look at every square inch of our fields over the next few years.  He never did find anything that looked suspicious.

Perhaps the meteor broke up, but the tracks and impact point being reported seem to vary.

This was a very slow moving meteor – speed of about 28,000 miles per hour (45,000km/hour). This fact, combined with the brightness of the meteor (which suggests a fairly big space rock), shows that the object penetrated deep into the atmosphere before it broke apart (which produced the sounds heard by at least 77 observers). It is likely that there are meteorites on the ground near this region.

_____________

According to the National Weather Service, the meteor caused a 2.0 magnitude earthquake, which the USGS said struck near New Haven, specifically near 25 Mile and Card Rd.

I'll be out this afternoon looking for a piece of the meteorITE.

Saw an article on my phone that says a piece the size of a softball could be worth around a $1M.

I never heard a thing and the dog didn't act like he heard anything either.

I texted our son to see if he heard anything (he lives in Ida) but turns out he had to work late and he was running an air powered machine so didn't hear it at all.

I walked about 2.5 miles out in the fields and along the roads.  I didn't find any hot rocks!!!

I was reading a NWS article that said the meteor may have been as big as 6 ft across when it entered the atmosphere.

When I came in from my walk the 13ABC Toledo news was on TV and they had a very clear video from someone in Temperance.  You can see at least 3 very clear trails.

I'll see if I can find that video and post a link.

Looks like the Geostationary Lightning Mapper aboard @NOAA's #GOES16 and American Meteor Society were pretty close.

Here's the NASA track:

I was just watching weather on NBC24 Toledo and Kimberly Newman was showing info on two different people that have found 'space rocks' so far.  Neither one were anywhere the size of a softball.  Both were very easy to see on the nice white snow which will change as soon as it thaws and snows again.  From all the reading I've done it looks like most of them will be up around Howell.  I'll just keep looking for that one 'stray' that blew way down here.  If the thing was actually 6 feet across then there are most likely many more pieces 'somewhere'!!!

I'm not going to go up there and freeze my butt off looking for rocks.  You want a rock, I have a pile by the ditch.  You can have all you want...

I guess if you are into that stuff, it's ok.  I'm not.

Like I said, never saw it or heard it, slept through it all.  Typical me.

I have plenty of earth rocks of my own.

It would be neat to have a space rock though.  I'm looking right out back while I'm walking.  If I stay out a little longer then I win on the physical exertion chart.
