From what  I have learned, he was kicked out by his mom when he was quite young (possibly by age 17, I don't know the exact age).  There was only one "possible" family member at the trial for the first day, and no one after that.  No friends spoke up in his favor to say he was a "nice guy".   No one to take the stand other than himself and a defense medical examiner (Daniel Spitz), who did not help him (in my opinion).

There is a copy of his police interrogation at the following site.  he started out denying he ever met Chelsea before, then started cracking toward the end.   it is quite long, but worth the read.   http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/chelsea-bruck-murder-case-man-denies-seeing-her-then-says-he-accidentally-killed-her-during-sex

With scumbags like that we need to toss the Miranda Act and place his hands on a table and bust his fingers with a hammer, one at a time.  Thats the way to get to the truth real fast.

I suspect Mav is right, he's gonna get his butt kicked now.  General population is gonna be hell.

Probably send him to Kinross or Marquette.  He's enjoy the winters up there.

The 2nd day of trial on Clay's rape charges from a different victim.  Is this the incident that they ended up taking the DNA from him that busted him on the Chelsea Bruck case or was that even something different?

I thought something different.  Something to do with a backpack.

Correct, he stole a backpack with equipment (camera?) and was busted.   It was under the new Michigan laws his DNA was taken and he was match to the DNA collected in the Bruck case.

Thats the one where they got the DNA that nailed him  Nice picture in the MN of Clay and his mouthpiece.  He needs to go away...forever.  Too bad we get to pay for it.  I would prefer the death penalty, the rent duration would be shorter.

I saw last night that the jury was deadlocked so the judge sent them home for the night and told them to come back this morning and deliberate some more.

Just saw on Twitter that the jury found Clay guilty of a sex charge (maybe less than what he was originally charged with) but not guilty of home invasion.  No details yet although I'm sure there will be plenty of details soon!

Sounds like it was the home invasion issue the jury was deadlocking on...

Home invasion was a little shaky.  They (Clay and some other girls were there and partying and left) and Clay supposedly came back and 'raped' the victim.  I find the home invasion to be very shaky.

Seems to me that Clay did nothing constructive except do drugs, smoke dope, partied and screwed whatever was handy.  I'm sure he will be a model citizen in the slammer.  It also is apparent to me that we have numerous .model citizens' living in and around Monroe.

Hope he enjoys his lifetime vacation on our dime.  We can all hope he hangs himself with a bedsheet while in the slammer.

If I was the judge and castration was legal, it would be that plus life.

Via a vice cranked very slowly.  Knife would be too fast.

Whatever sentence he gets will be too short.
