Nestle Toll House cookie dough can take toll

The Food and Drug Administration today warned consumers not to use prepackaged Nestle Toll House cookie dough because some of it has been found to be contaminated with E. coli bacteria.

Churches are target of free equipment scam

Churches are being targeted by scammers who are offering free church equipment in a ruse to gain access to the churches’ bank accounts.

The Federal Trade Commission issued a consumer alert about the scam today.

Toyotas, Scions recalled for load-limit labels

More than 1,200 Toyotas and Scions are being recalled because they have the wrong load-bearing capacity labels on them.

All the vehicles are either 2009 or 2110 models.

Hillsdale cheese might be contaminated

Torres Hillsdale Country Cheese is recalling most of its soft Mexican cheeses because they might be contaminated with bacteria.

The cheeses were sold to restaurants and delis in Michigan and other Midwestern and Southern states.
