Reading article about Dems problems with rural America and working folks. In any event this ole boy in Indiana was wearing a MAGA hat and mentioned he had someone say he felt like knocking it off his head. The ole boy replied, "Well everybody's gotta be doing something when the good Lord calls." I know SidecarFlip will enjoy that one.

No problem with me.  I always say 'give it your best shot 'cause you won't like the result'.

I like wearing my Trump shirt to places I know are liberal.  It feels good.  Today I wore a Peanuts shirt.  Was a Peanuts kind of day...  Tomorrow may be a Linus day.

Again reading about how Dems are going to rule 2018 mid-term elections. It's all about various polls. OK. But what is their agenda? Is it to ensure every public bathroom is trans-gender accessible? Is it to make sure illegal aliens have a pathway to citizenship? In CA
Dem legislator wants history books to include past contributions by transgenders
/homosexuals. Or will it be a "vote for us" because everyone against us is a racist/ homophobe /Nazi etc. etc., Quite a platform.

But what about the conditions of actual citizens of this country? How will their policies create jobs and increase economic growth? Is government mandating a $ 15 minimum wage the answer. I don't think so. Taking from one and "giving to another" doesn't grow the economy, it just transfers wealth from one person to another by government fiat.

I would have figured you for liking this hardworking guy.

I see Trump cut loose with another whopper.  Actually, just the facts.  We don't need any people coming here from 'shithole' countries.  I can agree with that.  Problem is, he shouldn't say it...  but he did and I have to agree.

Any excuse to break out racism charges.

I totally agree with him.

Lets bring in people to challenge me for my job instead of more welfare recipients.

That makes total sense to me!

I'm a bit concerned about the 'revitalized economy' and it's impact.

Problem is, in this country we have a large segment of the population that has no desire to work or are using drugs (cannabis included) that for all intents make them unemployable because they cannot pass a mandatory drug screen which is a requirement for employment in any legitimate job.

Without drug free workers to fill the jobs, you can have all the 'revitalization you want but with no workers, what good is it

...and then you have states like Kalifornia legalizing 'recreational' pot.  I'd like to know the difference between 'recreational' pot and any other pot.  You cannot pass a drug screen for one and secondly, a high worker is a liability in any industrial scenario.

Easy to beat a pee test but you cannot beat a hair pull.

So you have a Federal requirement (drug / substance abuse testing) as a condition of employment on one hand

...and an appreciable segment of the population that cannot pass a drug screen or don't even want to work at all because public assistance pays better for doing nothing.

Seems to me to be very counter productive to advancing the economy.  But maybe I'm not looking at it correctly.

Dick Durbin was the source for Trump's comments.   Durbin lied about comments made in a WH negotiation meeting before where even Obama's WH called him for it in 2013:

'I cannot even stand to look at you'

The No. 2 Democrat in the Senate, Sen. Dick Durbin, said in a Facebook post that a House Republican leader told off President Barack Obama during a negotiation meeting, and that GOP leaders are so disrespectful it’s practically impossible to have a conversation with them.

But Wednesday afternoon, both the White House and House speaker’s office denied his claims.

said or not said, still true.  Countries like Haiti are shitholes.

Wasn't Haiti where the Klinton Foundation supposedly 'invested. millions in housing?

I will qualify that I do like some of the things he has done while in office, but he is the most difficult President to stand behind that I have ever seen due to his midget mentality of being able to just keep his mouth and Twitter account shut!  The guy is a loose-lipped embarrassment!

All of us have thoughts that may not be socially acceptable, but to blurt it out is a sign of a true lack of intelligence and professionalism.  The guy is seen internationally as a buffoon, and when I travel abroad the topic of his lack of control over his mouth and Twitter fingers always comes up.....can't defend him.

His twitter comments don't bother me at all.  I, for one don't find his mentality to be a midget.  I view his comments as a game he's playing

I don't look at him in small increments, I look at him overall and what he is accomplishing.

I also see that consensus of opinion with the Canadians is he'll pull pull out of NAFTA entirely.  I think Marchonni feels the same, another reason for FCA's decision to pull the RAM truck assembly from Mexico and return it to Warren, Michigan.  Sergio isn't stupid.

Once Trump pulls out of NAFTA you'll see an exodus from Mexico by all industries, that and the improved corporate tax climate here.  Trump has a plan and it's coming together, one piece at a time.

Despite the contrary media, 2017 was a great year for the country and 2018 will be even better.

I dread to imagine where we'd be with Keg Legs as President, that is scary.

The only reason they see him as a buffoon is he doesn't let them screw us over like the last buffoon did.

The last buffoon thought it was his mandate to screw over this country, to the benefit of others.

That kind of buffoon they would like.

Trump is a New Yorker and every New Yorker I know is just like him, plain spoken.  Everyone with even a gtain of smarts knows Haiti is a shithole, all he did was say what everyone (except the Haitians) already know bit don't say because it's not socially correct but Trump was never socially correct anyway and never will be.  IMO, that sets him apart from the rest of the Beltway bozo's.

Exactly.  Trump, in my view, is steering this country toward prosperity.

Exactly.  Trump, in my view, is steering this country toward prosperity.

He needs to get on the **** holes that exist in our Democratic Party controlled big cities, the generational welfare and poverty that the "War on Poverty" has expanded greatly, the shitty Union controlled Public Schools that fail to teach kids how to read, and get after breaking this never ending cycle.

I am sure he will be declared the biggest racist on the planet if he goes after that steaming turd.
