Take a trip back 40 years (1977) and watch the Eagles in concert. 48 minutes long.

Plug your computer to your TV with an HDMI cable and turn up the sound.

The man doing these videos has posted several of the locomotive 'Nickel Plate 765'.  It's a completely restored and very, very operational locomotive built in 1944 which was near the end of the era of steam.

Over this past weekend they were on a promotion in Chicago and many, many train enthusiasts gathered all along the tracks for 3 days between Ft. Wayne and Chicago.  Lots of people have posted videos over the last few days but this guy does a pretty professional job.  I chose this one because it's showing the train making a 70 mph run.  They could only hit 70 in a few stretches due to the condition of the track and the schedule of the other trains that usually use that track.  I follow the organization behind the restoration project on Twitter and they have some occasional discussion of top speed...   many feel 100 mph is possible with straight tracks that are level and solid!!!

Turn up the volume so the neighbors will know what you're watching ;D ;D ;D

Also keep an eye on the little gal on the right and close to the camera...   I don't think she has any idea how big the locomotive is or how fast it is approaching her ;D ;D ;D

I haven't even checked this out myself yet.  Saw some discussion on Twitter yesterday.  Harbaugh has had a presence on Twitter for some time now.

If you have any pictures on Photobucket, they are probably gone.  Photobucket changed it's policy.  No more free, you have to pay to play now.

I just checked and they're all there.

The only pictures I have on Photobucket are the ones I post here on MT and 90% of those are in the wildlife photos thread.  I just checked and the last page of pictures are showing up ok...   seem a little slow to load but the whole internet has been slow the last few days.  I think it has to do with who or what ever is doing the 'cyber' attacks around the world.

I just logged onto PhotoBucket and it said my 'free' storage was 79% in use and that I would have to pay for any additional storage but that is nothing new...   just the way they've always been.  I won't lose any pictures since I have them backed up 2 or 3 or even 4 times in some cases.  I do pay for a Google Cloud account but I keep those backed up locally too.

I did just try uploading a photo to PB and it was very, very slow...   again, I suspect that is related to the ongoing cyber attacks.  It did finally upload though so all I can say at this point is that PhotoBucket is running slow.

There are dozens (probably hundreds if you start digging) of other free upload providers around.

This is a drone's eye view of a similar move although it's from back in May.

Here's the down detector map for photobucket.  We appear to be in a region of medium problems but in Europe it appears to be severe:

I just (slowly) uploaded a couple of pictures from the trail camera this morning.  No problems with PhotoBucket other than taking a long, long time to upload.  Maybe my upload speed is off some...   I'll measure it later and see.  Downdetector is still showing lots of issues with photobucket around the world though.

I spent a lot of time early in my career when airbags behind headliner canopies were being developed and implemented as side rail air curtains.  We worked a lot with with a company called Autoliv (owners of Morton Thiokol - the company that made the solid rocket boosters for the space shuttle) timing out explosion of the propellant to escaping out from under the headliner within milliseconds to inflate quick enough to protect cabin occupants once the sensors detected a collision.

Slow motion film footage was our best friend in determining where headliners needed to "break" to allow the curtain to drop.  The first time I saw the films I was amazed at the violence of the explosion,,,,,,and understood the power it took to put a space shuttle in orbit.  Really cool stuff.
