Title: Site issues
Post by: Frenchfry on May 22, 2013, 03:05:54 AM
I noticed a few issues...the recent posts haven't been reflecting actual posts...I saw what appeared to be last post @ 4:45 PM when people were actively still posting closer to 11PM.

Another issue was the users online...the site made it appear that everyone that logged on was still on, and never logged out.

Sort of screwed up the record:

Most Online Today: 42. Most Online Ever: 448 (May 21, 2013, 02:18:28 PM)

Looks like the time listed under the recent posts is now correct...so I'll assume the other issue was corrected as well.

Any chance the "Most Online Ever" tabulation could be rolled back to what it was prior to the apparent software glitch?
Or maybe just reset to start over?
As it stand now, it's just a false number.

If this is such a horrible site, why do you participate in it?   8*   If I felt this was accurate, I would delete my account!   ;)

Just because you look the other way or condone the actions of others, doesn't make it any less true.

The question you posed is an interesting one. I guess it's because I despise liars and since not many are willing to refute the lies and distortions...the task falls upon my shoulders.

As for quitting...that's more of a Sarah Palin thing.

I posted some articles about GMO's in the health topic and an idiot replied; "They could be in that tubesteak you so like to suck on.........."

The site has a very poor reputation based on user ratings, and it is not suitable for children.

My comment to your first bolded statement is simply thats pretty mild compared to the disparaging comments that eminate from your keyboard, pretty mild....  You have the ability to paint the kettle black but the inability to take any sort of retribution without adolescent, immature whining, typical of your ilk.

Your second bolded statement, 'not suitable for childern'.....  Maybe you should sign off permanently.  It's apparent that you are a child in a grown persons body...........

We all seem to do just fine until you show up and begin your incessant whining and name calling along with your 'I have no opinion because I cannot think intellegently', cut and paste crap.

You are quite the martyr aren't you.  FF, aka: keyboard rambo.

Get a life.

The Fry has expressed his love of Monroetucky time and time again.   It must pain him deeply to have this site harm the community that he loves so dearly.

Good ole Monroetucky....land of the bigoted inbreds.

Frenchie, if you hate this site that much, stay OFF OF IT!!!!!

Is that too difficult for you to comprehend?  Maybe the mods are ignoring your BS requests because they KNOW what YOU have done in the past, and they KNOW that YOU are one of the biggest instigators here!!

So go pound sand!!!

Judging by how many times you've dredged up that old quote about inbreeding...I'd say you may have a sister that's also your mother.

The genetic pool is clearly too shallow.

Look, ignore that old redneck saying that incest is best.

That's one of the problems with this town...seems everybody is related.

And all the tag-teaming bullying going on proves that point.

Edited to add:
I've noticed that you become particularly active with your retorts whenever I criticize the ineptitude of those responsible for this site...I'm sensing a close personal connection...perhaps you work for the Monroe News...which would explain the obvious bias.

You just showed that 2012 post is just as relevant today as the day you penned it.

I usually include these posts together as they show both your bigotry and your lack of honesty.

Good ole Monroetucky....land of the bigoted inbreds.

So MonroeTucky is an insult?
I feel it's more of a commentary on the harmless nature of the residents...sort of like Mayberry.

"Lack of honesty"...that's rich coming from the most prolific purveyor of misinformation on this site.

Your whole persona seems to mimic a sort of Fox News style where the lemmings that partake come away less educated than when they started.

The fact that you've been culling through the multitude of posts I've made...even from years ago...screams that you're in need of some serious psychiatric help.

Perhaps a genetic disorder from the inbreeding.

I have used your own words to document your bigotry and your dishonestly. Now let’s use your words to demonstrate your hypocrisy.

Here is an example where you state that mocking as "devious", but then mock others:

The so-called “Conservatives” employed various devious methods to rid the site of anyone that dared to refute their lies, mistruths, and distortions…bullying, stalking, mocking, and other inane actions.

Judging by how many times you've dredged up that old quote about inbreeding...I'd say you may have a sister that's also your mother.

Wow, even after all these years long time posters don't know about the ignore button...  Sadly, you all just WANT to be worse than FF going after him for anything and everything.  FF is rarely here anymore but 24/7 never gets the insults you toss at FF for the same thing.  One seems ready to go postal with every post, yet to him and the rest FF is the bad guy.  LOL you are all so sad.

Who are "you all"?

I think I used the ignore button one time and that was back when all the out of towners invaded the board during the Nevaeh incident.

Considered it again here lately, along with just dropping of the board entirely....not sure when, but the place has become childish in a lot of ways.  Know it alls are another sort of peeve to me as well and that along with the childish bickering has slowed my participation down to a minimum lately anyway.

I still peek in from time to time to catch up on any local topics, but even they become littered with posts that add little substance to the topic.

Too bad......it really was a hoot while it lasted, made a lot of great friends.

I've gone all these years without using it until about 6 months ago...

I figured out how to use it and I've actually been using it more and more often...

life on MT is too short for some of the BS...

I'm a strong believer in 'freedom of speech' but I'm becoming a stronger believer in 'freedom to ignore' some poster's speech!!!

Probably when I get up to where I have half the regulars on ignore I'll just quit posting myself ;) ;) ;)

Good plan......regular posters now, appears to me to be slightly more than a dozen.  Is that about your count too?

Probably in that neighborhood...

I'd already put all the 'one dimensional' politics only posters on ignore before I just put the whole political board on ignore so my figures may be slightly skewed from yours ;) ;) ;)

I'm relatively new to this forum, but wish I could have been around several years ago, when, I presume more members participated. Like you say, it seems like there are only about a dozen or so posters that I see regularly. And a couple of them are a waste of bandwidth.

I enjoy quick, short opinions, bouncing around on the current issues, but I am not as interested in someone just cutting and pasting articles from others. And I don't mind a little instigation of opinions to keep it interesting, but a constant "blinders on", one track mind approach, complete with childish name calling, without any thought to both sides of the issues doesn't interest me.

These forums should be like sitting around a campfire or a small table.
Talk, argue a little, make your point while listening to the others.

I also wish the MEN would promote MT a little more.
Maybe get some new blood here.

Does your second sentence sound right to you?
Odd, the topic seems to be about "site issues" yet you've chosen to take on a tangent.

Maybe your intent is to have the topic locked since it's about the incompetency of the forum administration...which somehow reflects badly upon you.

As for your claim of "bigotry" and "dishonesty"...two words you are well acquainted with...in fact I'd say you were actually projecting.

The truth is...you, and many other righties, are proving that my observations are correct...Moron County is chock full of inbreds.

There's probably less than a half dozen bloodlines in the area.

Look...I don't care if you've impregnated your sisters...or if you're into bestiality...I merely commented on the possible reasons of why certain people seem so ignorant on this site...and their attraction to right-wing ideals.

The childish right-wingers chased everybody away.

Sorry the site couldn't be tailor-made specifically for you but such a site already exists...Fox News.

The partisan right has been barking unsubstantiated nonsense for years.
And I've learned long ago that many righties have completely failed at reading comprehension so videos to refute the right-wing propaganda being parroted seemed the way to go.
Unfortunately many times that's met with resistance from the morons that steadfastly refuse to consider that maybe their Fox News obtained POV may be wrong.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

Here is an example of your not being very intellectually astute:

As for your claim of "bigotry" and "dishonesty"...two words you are well acquainted with...in fact I'd say you were actually projecting.

The very next line you put your bigotry on full display for all to see:

The truth is...you, and many other righties, are proving that my observations are correct...Moron County is chock full of inbreds.

I find your personal attacks toward me humorous since I am a transient resident.  None of my family blood lines lead to Monroe, but your asinine remarks removes your fake façade and exposes your ugliness for all to see.

Rarely has anyone shown as much lack of integrity and dishonesty as you have and the fact that you have the the gall to continually hurl your moronic insults toward me is astonishing to say the least.

It's true that I know nothing about you, except that you've been stalking me since day one of your registration on the forum.

Culling years and years of posts looking for ammunition, and opportunity, to use against me.

You took special pleasure in finding negative stories concerning some Ironworkers.

Not to mention any negative stories on Unions you can find.

You sure play fast and loose with the pejoratives whenever it concerns me but in my book...a stalker is much worse.
