Title: Canine Helps Consumers Energy Fix Broken Utility Pole

I certainly hope CE bought this dog a big bag of dog treats for all the time and money he saved them!!!

Maybe that dog the cable guy shot was just running up to him to ask if there was any way he could help? LOL

Nice story - and probably a lot safer than another method we had at the fire station...

In water rescue situations we also needed a line across a body of water, like the River.    We had a medievel set up with a grapling type hook shot with a shotgun type set up...   ( we never used it however as it just didn't appear safe)
Later we set up a bow and arrow with a light line - and that system did work.

Not sure what the firefighters do now as that type of rescue operation (rapid water - in the river) takes a lot of manpower - and training, as it is very very dangerous.
