Title: Have You Tried.....
Post by: Mayonnaise on March 01, 2015, 06:47:21 PM
Little Caesars Bacon Wrapped Pizza?
We tried it. Really didn't taste the bacon. $12.00 plus tax. IMO, not worth it. Save $4.00 and just get a regular deep dish. One time deal for us that's for sure.

Marketing novelty I'm sure.

I agree. Not much different than the deep dish.

Marketing novelty I'm sure.

They're spending plenty promoting it on Toledo TV stations ;) ;) ;)

We went to Marwin's the other night for lunch. Not too bad. The food was pretty good.

While I have made eggs in the microwave they were more like scrambled eggs. I've heard of mug cooking but never saw it done.

Poked around on you tube for the first guys channel Inspire To Cook, and he has many good hints and recipes.

Brede old fashion horseradish?  Made in Detroit from local suppliers. I found it at Foodtown in Temperance.
OMG. The stuff is hot!  If you like horseradish this is the stuff..

I grew it in the garden one year and ground my own.  Never again.  CL and I about passed out...

I HIGHLY recommend the Lloyds pre-cooked baby back ribs in the refrigerated case at Menards.  Suckers are fantastic.  So is the price.  Menards is the only place I've seen them for sale.

Since I got the smoker I've been doing my own ribs.

Super easy, super good.

They look like they belong in a magazine, and old Jay never made a rack as good as mine.

Thanks for the tip on ribs from Menards. I was thinking of doing someSunday with my Ribalizer.  I have a friend that his buddy's on Facebook keep throwing out barbs about him buying ribs at Menards.  I aways though it was a joke.

I grew horseradish once too. Tried to make it but it was disaster peeling and cutting.  It took years to kill it all. Kept popping up all over garden

CL and I were amazed how good they are and pretty inexpensive too.  One pack is just right for 2 people,  Sauce is perfect too, no heartburn, just enough.

Gotta go to Toledo today so I'm swinging by Menards for ribs.

In the back of the store across from the appliances.

Have a smoker as well.  Just don't smoke anything...

When I was a kid (back before most cars were not equipped with AC) there was an area in the Mississippi delta farm land where they used to commercially grow and harvest horseradish.

I can recall driving past those fields during harvest time, with the windows down of course, and just being near that operation would clear out your sinuses and make you tear up.

Break it out!

Nothing like a 2.99 a pound beef brisket that has been cooking for 20 hours.

Yummy!

Eats for a week.

Gonna have some apple wood chips this year as well.  I bet you want a bag.....

I pulled a boner, sort of.

Went to Menards a few hours ago and they are completely out of Lloyds baby back ribs.  cooler is empty.  Asked a young lass if they were getting any in, she said Monday.  I was wanting them for dinner tonight...so was CL.

I wouldn't mind a few bags of apple wood chips.

That would work!

Flip.....keep mental track of where you take those apple trees down.  The most productive spots I have ever run across for Morel mushrooms was where there were standing apple trees/old orchards.

Morrels (black and tan) are no issue for me.  My up north property near Stanwood is loaded with them.  This year Jim wants to go pick a shopping bag (paper bag) full.  Should be about a 10 minute job.

Maybe I should put on a Morrel picking party.....?

Not real fond of them myself.  Ok but thats it.  They grow in our front yard too, under the spruce trees.  Got some huge ones last year....  Gave them to the guy across the road.

When I chip up the apple trees (not removing them, just trimming them of dead wood), I'll bag some for interested people.  I have a bunch of burlap gunny sacks in the garage.  Was going to do it last year and didn't.

I know BRD wanted some but he has seemed to vanish from the forum.  I really hope he's ok.  Nice guy.  So is his wife.  I've met them more than once.

I've hunted mushrooms up North......do you think that they are smaller up there versus down near here?  (BTW, PM me if you see some you want rid of, I love those damn little things).

I used to get them by the grocery sack full in Southern Illinois too......they get huge down here, some the size of a 12 oz can of beer standing up.  No exaggeration.....I've just noticed the size of mushrooms from Illiniois, to the Monroe Area, to Up North and it appears to me they are smaller as you go North.

Not sure what is up with BRD, time to PM him or email.  We meet for breakfast a few times a year and he looked healthy as could be this last Fall.

Saw some Lloyds ribs at Lambertville Kroger. No price anywhere that I could see.  I bought regular baby back. Going to do those and halfs of chicken in my Ribalizer.

Brisket easy.....  just takes awhile - so put it in the night before is my advice.

It is oh so good!

I am thinking about trying a Pork Belly.

Anyone know a good formula?

Load some of the limbs (preferrably dead ones in the back of your RAM and bring them up and you can run them through my chipper and make smoking chips....  which is what I'm going to do too.  The chipper makes nice 1x1/2 chips, ideal for smokers.

I can chip up to an 8" diameter log so don't be bashful about size.MN knows where I live, he can show you.  I think Fuzz knows too, cannot remember.

All I have to do is put the chipper on the tractor, takes maybe 5 minutes.

I think I can remember the way out to your place, I was always well under the influence when night driving out your way and putting up all those Elect Hillary signs out near the mailbox.

I'm hurt now.  Hillary signs?  After I had my Trump signs lifted from the yard, I put nothing up.  What I should have done was hook up an electric fencer to my Trump signs so the 'stealers' would have got a surprise.
