I highly recommend Sweet Home Alabama.  When you watch it, be prepared with a box of Kleenex at the Coon Dog Cemetery scene.

Stars Reese Witherspoon and Josh Lucas.....light comedy, but great story line.

"Old Yeller"...when Travis has to shoot Old Yeller because he got the Hydraphobie (Texas drawl for Rabies) from a wolf. I was 6 years old and cried all the way home from the drive-in.  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( ;D

and it was not too long after we'd seen Bambi...

I wasn't too sure at that point I wanted to see any more movies :o :o :o

The first (and only) time I saw Old Yeller, I was about 7. Bawled my heart out! Couldn't believe a movie could be so cruel to the viewer, especially a kids' movie! Never watched it again (although I did read the book--and cried even more). To this day I despise sad movies. A couple of my sisters just crave them, I guess for the catharsis, but give me a comedy or a documentary any day. Life's too hard as it is to spend time crying over fictitious characters. I'd rather laugh or learn. Laughing as a catharsis is lots more fun!

This is how I'm feeling right now:

I always laugh whenever I see the Old Yeller dog food in the store.   It makes me think that these folks making this stuff must have left the movie early.

One of my favorite "Chick Flicks" tear jerkers!

Now I'm thinking of my other fav's.......Sweet Home Alabama (bet I've watched it 50 times), An Officer and a Gentlemen, and A Walk to Remember.  Hanky time!

A Walk to Remember.... oh, such a sad movie! But I love the story. I cry every time!
