Slugger recommended Rudy's a long time ago on here. Tried one couple of months ago..... I like Vince's better!

I like a little Pit Bull on my Hot Dog  ;)

LOL!!!!

I could eat Monroe's Original any day. All the way.

When we grill here I will only eat Koegel's and I top them with mustard and onions. LOTS of onions. It's the only way to eat them.  I love roasting them over our fire pit.

It is the mildest chili sauce I have ever had.

But, it is the first chilidog I ever had, so they have a place in my heart & stomach.

Duly's Place Coney Island

I had a good, old-fashioned lunch-counter lunch this week at Duly's Place Coney Island at 5458 Vernor just east of Junction in Detroit.

The restaurant, opened in 1921, is long, narrow and classic. It has a lunch counter with just 14 stools, two tables big enough for two in the back and a third table big enough for four.

A stack of chairs nearby attested to the fact that they sometimes shoehorn in a few more people.

As close as it is to Holy Redeemer, I wondered how many generations of Catholic school kids used it as their hangout.

I went to Rudy's once and I didn't like it.

I am not a big fan of hotdogs. I like them blackened on the grill, with mustard and onion. I will eat
Vince's or Monroe's Original either one.
The best one I ever had was in Gatlinburg TN many years ago. Small shop that was gone the next summer when I went back.  :-\

Plain ole mustard for me.  Prefer it from the outdoor grill as well.

Well, if it's not a monroe original or a vince's - I would like ketchup, mustard and onion!

yum!

although I don't eat hot dog's very often - maybe like twice in the summer and that's it.

Monroe's Original chili!  mmmmm

i miss them already. :'(

in the meantime, (i beleive i've posted this before) chicago dogs!

pickle spear, tomato wedges, relish, onion, jalapeno's, and mustard on a seeded bun with a hebrew national dog.

i could go for one of those right now.
