intersting hobbies or art

I am always looking for out of the ordinary things to try for crafts or hobbies, especially now that winter is coming, i need something kooky to do to beat cabin fever.

Hi Autum.

I don't really have an interesting hobby. Just the typical ones...crocheting, sewing (not anything which I would actually wear out in public...LOL. Mostly costumes and things for the house) and I play around with beading.

The one hobby which I would really like to get into is miniature dollhouses. They have such cute miniatures now!  It really makes me want to build (and decorate) a Victorian dollhouse.... ;D

OMG......I told my sister that I wanted to do that this winter as a I am bored project.   paint and stain the little furniture and buy fabric for beds and chairs and what not.  Ok LadyA....get out of my head!  LOL

Aren't they CUTE, cc!!  I figure that it is going to take FORVER to get my real house to look like that, so maybe I should try and do a tiny version..... :D

I have a few books on how to do it, which gives different ideas and such. I even bought a book on how to make the polymer clay miniature food. It is sooo realistic looking.  ;D

Oh you are more into it than me.  I was going to just buy the house kit I liked - put it together paint it - maybe make it textured.  Buy the little furniture I like - glue it in - paint it if it needs to be painted - add fabric.

Maybe I will glance in a book - but I usually just go off the ideas that pop ion my head.  (and I know there is at least 1 of you thinking OH NOOOOOOOO.......LOL - )

I would like to learn to do editing on digital pictures.  I have seen some really neat stuff.  And I started kayking this year and just plain love it.

I am crocheting (I have no idea how to spell it) a christmas blanket right now, I am also doing that bacwards painting sometimes when the mood stikes.. I did a japanese plant and am doing one for fall right now... problem is I get bored easy. I did try juggling but am not that good so I am trying to learn contact juggling which is really cool looking, but I am not that good at that either, same thing with poi....ugh!!!!  But I haven't been practicing that for awhile. I think I will try that again, but for the winter... I would love to do dollhouses. My mom is about to start paintiing some of hers, I would love to learn woodworking and just make one I want to design.... does anyone in here teach woodworking?

I would LOVE to learn!

You should post a pic of your Christmas Blanket/Afghan when you are finished.  ;D

And as far as juggling goes. (Again this is one of those things I can do...I'm just not very good.) I found it really helps to have the right size juggling bags. If they are too big...forget it, I am dropping them all over....LOL. I have the best luck with the smaller square ones.
