We occasionally fry bologna.....my technique is to place another frying pan on top to keep the bologna from tenting, thereby ensuring perfectly even contact with the pan....evenly browned...just bologna though....not as a sandwich.

I think you could put slices in it as well but I like the weight effect.

I used to just press 'em down with a spatula..... like I do with grilled cheese sandwiches

I'm reminded of the time my daughter made own grilled cheese sandwich.....she put a slice of cheese between two pieces of toast......I still chuckle about that.
:)

LOL! Fry, that reminds me of the time my brother's girlfriend (she is a year older than me) asked my brother if he wanted some french toast... Obviously, he said yes.  She went into the kitchen, 'made it' and brought it out to him. He looked at it and asked her how she made it. She looked at him and told him "Well, I made the toast, took it out of the toaster, buttered it and put syrup on it! How else would you make it?!"  He laughed his butt off and proceeded to tell her she needed milk and eggs and such... she looked at him and said "Gross! I'm not doing that!"  8*

That happened about a year ago. It was around the same time that she bought hamburger helper, and my brother was going to make it... he asked her where the hamburger was that she bought and she just looked at him. She told him that she didn't buy any hamburger and said "Well, it's hamburger helper... doesn't it come in the box? It shows the hamburger on the front!"

LMAO!  Omg.... we tease her about that to this day....  :P

And as for dinner tonight... I'm thinking some more fried bologna sammiches again!!!  ;D ;D ;D

In a lil bit here I'll be firing up the Smoker.

Put rub on my baby back ribs and left them in the fridge overnight.

They'll be on the Smoker quite a while (if I can resist the urge to peek at them now and then).

Well dessert tonight was a creation I made that was a combination of Cheesecake and Lemon Pie.

I made a graham cracker crust, in which I also put in 1/2 cup of wheat germ (it almost makes it healthy LOL).

Then I made the lemon pudding and while it was cooking I mixed in some extra sugar and egg yolks and 12 oz of cream cheese.

I saved all the egg whites from the pudding and the cream cheese mixture, and made a meringue.

After the lemon cheese cake mixture finished cooking, I poured it into a cake pan that had the graham cracker crust in it, then covered the lemon with the meringue and cooked it in the oven until it browned up a bit.

Delicious.

I made a well marinated steak with my secret sauce.  Served with corn on the cob, and chick peas.

You mean Nick and Neno's?  Or the banana apocalypse?  lol

We left the BA, and were going to go to Pete's, but ATG spotted Nick and Neno's and suggested we go there instead.  So we did!

It was a last minute thing, though.  But we're always running around....  Maybe we'll have another gathering soon!

I just want to try it!!  I'm glad you liked the place!

I really wouldn't have been able to meet you. I wouldn't have wanted to give you this cold/crappy feeling I have had this weekend.

I'm feeling better today, thank goodness!!

Now I'm jealous. I'm still wanting to try that place. Don't think I could have gotten anything else in my gut right away though. lol.

Oh, BTW, we went to J. Alexanders tonight.

Deep fried calamari, salsa and chips for appetizers, and then a REALLY nice 16oz. Prime Rib, with smashed potatoes, washed down with a couple of cold Sam Adam's.  One of the BEST meals I've had at a restaurant in a LONG time!

Five hours later, and I'm STILL full!   :D
