I had the Bistro Steak and the husband had the Flat Iron at Trapperz tonight.  Delicious, as always.

Some jalapeno poppers, juicy cheeseburgers with tomatoes and sauteed portabella mushrooms, crinkle fries with a couple of iced cold long neckers.   mmmmmm!  Hit the spot!

We tried this crock pot recipe a few times and it went over BIG.
Take uncooked chicken breast, 2 cans of cream of chicken soup & 2 cans of cream of mushroom, 1 can of milk or more depending on the consistency that you like.1 tube of raw Pillsbury biscuits or more if you can fit them in the pot. Salt & pepper to taste. Cook altogether about 2-2 1/2 hours, or longer. It tastes just like chicken & dumplings. The biscuits firm up and make the whole meal.

I fixed this last night - it was REALLY GOOD!  Thanks choff4!

Tonight my hunny made a huge bowl of homemade mac-n-cheese.  YUM!

Your very welcome Live.
I never used pork with this recipe but I am guessing it will be just as good. Again I am glad you enjoyed it. Hope you & ATG have a wonderful weekend.

Chicken wings with pasta salad and celery sticks.

The remainder of the celery will "get happy" as part of tomorrows Jambalaya.

And Choff: I'm looking very seriously at your crock pot chicken and dumplings very soon.  It may be a very good "hold in your back pocket" kinda recipe's when the spring weather turns sour for a day or 2.  Yanno what I mean? Kinda like a comfort food, belly warmer?

I LOVE Port Clinton!

Dinner was really lunch today.  Bar-B-Q Chicken salad with Chicken Tortellini soup at Pete's Garage.  Still too full at dinner to eat again.  Just had a small salad with a side of some great conversation.   :)

As posted yesterday, tonight it will be jambalaya.  And with many thanks to those that sent me their version, I'm gonna cheat! Zatarian's boxed stuff!  8)

I will however jazz it up myself.  I will saute' the "Trinity" aka celery, onions and garlic.  And will also peel the skin off of chorizo sausage and sear it with both andoille (-2 sp) and smoked sausage.

Also will dump in a can of diced tomatoes.

Adding in some type of toasted bread thing on the side.

With the chilly, damp weather today, it's a fitting comfort food thingy.  :)

Not to be picky-picky, but the "Trinity" is celery, onions, and green pepper. However, adding garlic is always a good thing!
