Have you ever tried romaine lettuce with strawberries, pecans & poppyseed dressing, that is a very good summer salad. easy to make also.

Never cared for mixing my fruits and vegetables together too much. Well except for adding pineapple to cole slaw.

I do love J's Smokehouse Cole Slaw. I think they mix some of the pineapple juice right into the slaw sauce, but however they do it, it sure is good.

I don't know if I'd ever make that salad that you described myself, but I'd probably try it if someone else did. ;)

There's no way on earth I would ever eat rabbit!! Not even if it was SOAKED, SLATHERED, & BASTED in J's sauce!!!

Bunnies are for lovin' on and snugglin' with! Well, most of them anyway. ;0)

Last night's dinner was my homemade spaghetti and meatballs. I don't cook often, but when I do, I ROCK the kitchen!!  ;D

I started making my coleslaw with crushed pineapple and I do add juice to mine when I make it. By adding juice it makes the slaw smoother.

Yeah I bought some the other day that wound up tasting like they used nothing but the cabbage hearts. Almost had the taste of horseradish to it.

I decided to get some northern beans and a small ham and make some bean soup.

The beans are soaking now and will be ready tomorrow

I've tried tofu before... never cared for it.  Maybe because it wasn't prepared right, I don't know.  I always thought of tofu like grits - by themselves, they have no real taste.  They always taste like what ever you put on them!  lol

BTW - We went to J's Smokehouse for dinner tonight.

No, really!  We did!   :D

That's totally true Live, it has to be flavored, it absorbs any flavor. I actually made mine taste like fried pork chops last night. I was mighty please with myself.

Well everyone is gone again and I don't feel like cooking for myself, so it looks like it's carrots & dip again.

Country ribs, grilled asparagus, and baked potatoes.

Not sure what dinner will be today. As a rule I don't cook on Friday.
I am originally from Petersburg, my Aunt who lives there now has invited me over for lunch.
