I make them several times during the summer here too.  I usually go with a lesser/cheaper cut of meat and beat it with a tenderizing hammer, and marinate it for most of the day.  I like to put mushrooms, onion slices, cherry tomatoes, and squash slices on mine then sprinkle a fair amount of Greek seasoning on the ka bobs while they are grilling.

Great summer meal.

Oh thanks for the idea Fuzz.
Greek seasoning sounds good. Is that a dry mix? Thinking it can be found in the salad dressing aisle maybe.

 I am using pineapple, potatoes,onions,peppers,mushrooms,tomatoes.
Forgot the squash. I also decided to chicken & steak. I prefer steak  ka bobs but other family members like chicken.

Well they are almost done and smelling great.

My kids wanted them served with rice also.
I would love for there to be leftovers, then I wouldn't have to cook tomorrow. ;)

Dry mixture called Cavender's All Purpose Greek Seasoning.  Look for a yellow and white 8 oz shaker top dispenser.  I think I got it at Meijers in the spice and herb section.  Good all around mix.....great on steaks.

The last time I made chicken kabobs was at Fuzz's house. I also made rice and sweet and sour sauce.

We had fresh pineapple too.

And no, there weren't any leftovers. LOL

Those turned out good, FB.......just can't remember a lot of details, seem kind of fuzzy!   ;)

Ham pot pie, well that's what they call it in PA. Here it's like chicken and dumplings, but made with ham instead of chicken.

Gonna be my only fast food style weekly craving for supper tonight.  Half off Buffalo Wild Wings covered in spicy garlic sauce, and a few mango habanero with cheese covered sliced potatoes.

Feel them arteries cloggin' already.

Tonight we had grilled Omaha steaks, grilled veggies, and grilled corn on the cob. And YES--emphatically YES--I used real butter! lol Rubbed the ears down with a stick of cold butter, sprinkled some sea salt, wrapped them in foil, then roasted them on the grill for about 20 minutes. Sweet buttered perfection!!  :D
