Yum.....that sounds good Lady.  Think I will plan that one here real soon.

Ever try microwave meatloaf?  I love it.....was in a recipe book that came with the first microwave we purchased.

Meatloaf on the smoker is excellent.
Instead of using Ritz crackers I started using chicken n biscuit crackers. Well I am glad I tried it because it is wonderful.

No peas? That has been my birthday dinner for over thirty years, minus the salad. Yea! meatloaf! I agree, smoked meatloaf is the best.

Catlady,I can relate to not being allowed near flames. Hubby once asked me to watch the fire while we were camping and when he came back from the lake I had used all of our wood and the flames were pretty tall, actually he said other people at the lake were talking about  huge fire somewhere little did he know it was ours. :D So I am banned now.

Oh and once you have smoked meatloaf, you won't want it any other way.

Yeah, the heat makes me crazier than usual - and that's pretty bad! lol

I think I'm going to have left over stuffed cabbage, and a sirloin steak tonight!

I made stuffed cabbage and I think I made way to much so I am going to freeze the rest, kind of getting tired of it.

I took a  break from canning and made some squash stew.
It's a family recipe and I am not even sure if there is a correct name for it. A family member made it up years ago.

 I  fried  1/2 lb. bacon &
1 tube of Bob Evans sausage together. (sage)
Then added 2 thinly sliced zucchini
              1/2 C. diced onion
               1 lg. diced tomato
1 lg. can of tomato sauce
                  1/2 C. sugar
                   1/4 C. BBQ sauce
                   Salt & pepper to taste
I add onion & garlic powder to everything I cook as I did with this. I cooked it on low for about 30 min.

What's great about this dish is the color and the fresh veggies you use.
