Nice to see Boise State lose.
« on: November 12, 2011, 07:36:03 PM »

Wasn't it nice to see Boise State lose today?

I've always felt that it wasn't quite right for an upstart team like Boise State take so much attention when it was really the major conferences that developed major college football.

It's nice to know that the national championship is likely to be decided by members of major conferences - as it should be.

I hope you do not classify the Big 10 as a major conference because it isn't. Right now there is only one major conference, that being the SEC.

Guarantee Boise State would run the table in the Big 10.

SEC = boring......

Three really good teams and a bunch of run of the mill hacks!

You can tell which programs doll out the cash, Bama, LSU, and Arkansas.

Auburn almost got caught and now look at them, playing it tight to the vest and getting killed by mediocre Georgia (you know the same team that LOST to Boise St. HAHAHAHA!!!)

Urban Meyer and the money train leave Florida and now they are about to miss a bowl game.  S. Carolina can't score any points and barely beats Florida.

Hell Big Mike if Boise would run the table in the Big 10 they should be about 6-1 in SEC conf play too then right?  Lord help us if Oklahoma beats Oklahoma St., then we are going to have to hear about REMATCH, REMATCH, even though Bama's offense is MIA.  The BCS is about to do the unthinkable, invite a team to the BCS title game that didn't even play for a BCS conference championship.  What an F-ed up system!!!

The best team in the Big Slow might win 3 games in the SEC.

Of those also rans you mentioned in the SEC 4 would win the Big Slow.

I guess winning all the time can get boring.

Here we go with this elitist crap again. No Mike I was disappointed Boise lost, because you see I'm not full of the elitist crap that you are.I think the best team should win championships unlike you who think that only certain schools should have the opportunity to even compete.
It really speaks volumes about major colledge football when your"elite" schools don't even have the stones to schedule Boise.Big ten also ran Michigan had the chance but would rather schedule EMU and of course Appalachian St.Wouldn't want to schedule a tough non conference game would we now?

As I recall, which I can because I was there, Appalachian St. beat Michigan last time they played so I don't see an issue with scheduling probably the toughest Division II program out there. Next year 3 of Michigan's non-conference opponents are Air Force, Notre Dame, and Alabama.

Those are big words from a fan of a team boasting one legitamate win all year and a big fat loss to an also ran big ten school on the national stage none the less.

Until Notre Dame joins a conference ( a legit conference, not the BigLeast or ACC bottom dwellers ) they schould be in the same boat as Boise St., on the outside looking in unless they run their table.  For two years they haven't and for two years now they are excluded, I am a Boise St. fan and have no trouble with that at all.

BTW Boise St. opens at Michigan St. next season.  Michigan with Alabama.  You think Mike is an elitist?  Notre Dame is the program that schedules 3 or 4 good teams in a season, hopes to catch two of them on an off year, beat the patsypuffs they play at home, and demand a BCS bowl game with a 10-2 or 9-3 record.  Why?  Because they are freaking Norte Dame!!!!
