Saturday morning the parking was an issue.  Somebody said they have too many Handicapped spots for the amount of spaces.

The parking lot is very full lately but I don't think there are too many handicapped spots - people just want to park as close as possible lol

On a Sat. morn. there was 6 spots that were handicap and open.  The dumpster was blocked and everyone was doubleparked with open handicapped spots.

There are more spots other than right up front. For pete's sake you're at a gym - park in the back and walk there lol

I know it's cold and it sucks but that's Michigan, don't like then move somewhere warm

6 handicapped spots in a parking lot of that size isn't too many.

Daisy-Jay:  Hey guys drop your weapons.  I'm just telling this thread what I was told by one of the YMCA workers (she had a radio on her hip) when I was there for a kids basketball game Saturday morning.

Somebody had mentioned the parking and SHE said they (employees) sometimes have to park in those spots on Saturdays.  She then stated that there was too many HC spots for the amount of total spots in the lot...a lady next to me said she was on a local planning comm. and she agreed.

So...I could care less about the parling I deal with once a week as I found a spot right away and could walk from Vinces Drive-in if they were still closed.

I keep the HC spots wide open and clear at my store.

Notice my posting in the Denniston theatre thread about the theatre not even plowing the HC spots they have.

Ran into another snag..the email I sent to ASF to cancel my membership was at first "delayed" then it came back saying it could not be delivered.  I called the company and they are closed today.  I will be calling them Monday and obtaining their fax # to send my cancellation.
My email was returned again, I called the company today and got their fax #.  The first time I tried to fax it there was no answer.  I tried again later and it went thru.  Keep you posted...

Lord have mercy are you kidding ,plain and simple the Y has bitten of more than they can chew. They simply saw an opportunity to add lots of new members instantly and cannot handle the increased traffic. So there isn't enough parking because there are to many handicap spots? They do realize handicap people exist, not to mention folks that may be recovering from a temporary disability trying to rehab at their facility. I've got an idea instead of blaming different groups fix the problems that have been created, oh wait they can't because they don't have the space to accomodate all these people.

Please do.  We are waiting to see what you find out and then we will try.  I have talked to fair finance and they will not send me a paper statement.

Has anyone looked into a possible class action lawsuit. How in the world can the clown (from Lifestyles) hold these women to a contract when he isn't holding up his end of the bargain. Granted I don't know what the contract says but this sure seems like BS to me.

I have not but I would like to think there may be an expert on the subject here on MT that may like to give a little "free" helpful hint?
