IMO - if we stop hearing the words layoff.....the other words would not be heard

Downturn for me....

If 'it' downturns anymore, it will begin to upturn.

I got really tired of hearing about the 'trickledown' effect.  Now, I'd like a bit of trickledown.  Seems as though the 'trickledown' has dried up.
