I know they have one every Wed. at the Blue Streak in Ida, and there's the Hot August Night at the old Friendly Ford...There's one out at MIS in the summer, that's a big one.

Last Monday, the wife and I saw a car show of some sort in Flat Rock....right across from KFC.....it may have been at a Big Boy restaurant.

Lots of fantastic cars.....good stuff.

I heard the Good Time Cruisers are at the Kroger parking lot this year.  Not sure what day of the week though.  I used to see them on Tuesdays when they were at Nortel Lanes.  Some nice people with some great cars.
That show at MIS is fun.  Bring your sunscreen though.  It is usually hot and there is no shade.  It is worth it though. The owners can drive their cars on the track.  It is really neat to see.  I've been going a for a few years now and have driven a couple cars around the track.  The first year I went I took my Grandfather around the track with me.  It was an experience I was glad I got to share with him that I'll never forget.  With some luck I'll have the car I have in my garage now ready to go by then.  It is also a great place to trade, sell, or buy a car.  They have some good vendors too.

Does the Community College still do their car show? My father used to have a different toy he would put in there every year.  One of these days I will get some energy to finish doing something with mine. 1967 Pontiac Firebird  gotta love the old classics.

We put all the car shows that are reported to The Monroe Evening News in the MT calendar under "track and street."

The community college car show is in early September.  Blue Streak, Ida, every Wed at 6.  As Paula said, just check the community page of the newspaper - most weekly events are listed there.

I heard there will be a car and motorcycle show at Raisinville Baptist Church on June 6 - don't know if this has been in the paper yet.  I suppose more information could be gotten by calling the church.

I have been to the MIS show a few times. Been out on the track in my dad's '54 Bel Air convertible....On the high banks on thin bias ply tires is really something! There were 2 cars, one a '70 Superbird, the other a '69 Charger Daytona, that were purposely hanging back, slowing down, so they could nail it and haul @ss on the high banks without overtaking the pace car. They zoomed by us a couple times, and I kept yelling to my dad, "That's what those cars were designed for!!"

Anyone been to any of the cruises this year?  I've gone to a few and saw many great vehicles.  I put up a few photos I took and a few that were sent to me.  Hope you like.

The car show was great, as usual.
It was a very "HOT" show.
