It amazes me how much information the police are with holding, and how obstinate they seem to be towards the public trying to help.

It's apparent to me that they have no interest in finding an alive missing girl. If that was the case, they would have much larger and wide spread search parties. After this much time, I don't blame them. If the girl is still alive, she's in someone's hands who is out of county or state. But it surprises me larger search parties were not organized by the public officials on monday/tues and during the day in an attempt to find a 'missing' girl.

They appear only interested in this being an abduction. There must be some piece of evidence they have collected supporting that possibility and that possibility alone to disregard her simply being 'missing'. At this point, it appears the police are only interested in keeping the public from accidentally destroying evidence.  Very sad indeed.

Not trying to be a downer here, but since they know more than we do maybe that is what they have left "keeping the public from accidentally destroyin gevidence." 

I really got the feeling from watching/listening to the news conference that they know she may no longer be with us.  In the past conferences of other child abduction cases when asked whether they believe the child is still alive the police usually say, "we have no reason to believe otherwise."  But here, the Sheriff said, "No comment."  Not good if you ask me.

Local search parties would be to look for a dead body.  They can't use search parties within the first few days because it would muck up the scent and stop the dogs from following it, after 36 hours or so if you are still searching locally you aren't looking for a missing child anymore but a body.

If she is still alive, and I hope she is, she is no where near Michigan, that much I can all but guarantee you.

Yeah, I was hoping for some valid information but it was pretty vague. I understand the need to protect evidence but I'm sort of disappointed people truly want to help out.
