I didnt use a name, I used the initials to respect that request. I posted a link to support the information I heard. I think you guys are being a little too reactive. Im not trying to start anything. It was something I heard, and I thought this would be the best place to get clarity.

You used the name a couple of times yesterday...   I went to the link you provided and I didn't see the name you provided mentioned anywhere...  maybe they know better....

When someone is actually charged maybe that is a good time to post a name...

if you have info on this particular individual then you should contact the appropriate LE office...

seems to me you are just speculating at this point...

maybe we should post your father's name as a "possible suspect"...

the main point I was trying to make is there are multiple people just in Monroe with that name...

The information I posted about that individual is public knowledge and I did make sure to say that I was not clear and did not have any further information linking him specifically to Nevaeh. I do, however, have more information that links but have not posted. I understand the concern about being careful about linking names to this particular case, but the individual I posted has slandered himself by the unspeakable crimes he has already committed. I will be receiving further information next week and I will be not sure to post here   I have been receptive and respective of your feedback.

The individual you mentioned has "slandered himself" in the case or cases in which he was charged and convicted...    but nothing I have seen (except your 2 posts) ties his name to Nevaeh...

Everything on here about Nevaeh has been 5% fact and 95% rumor, speculation and innuendo

I would welcome some cold hard facts about anyone that might be involved...

but throwing out the names of every registered sex offender in Monroe just to see what everyone else has heard is NOT the way to go about it...

Looks to me like for the first several weeks that is all LE did too...   

and we still don't have a good suspect

13ABC Toledo did have a brief "reminder" segment on last night's news...

and their website has some info this morning about the back to school safety event at Riverside...

Today, the group Justice for Nevaeh Buchanan is holding a special back to school safety event in honor of the little girl. As you may remember, Nevaeh Buchanan, 5, was kidnapped and murdered last year in Monroe. Her case is still unsolved. Today's event is designed to help educate children and their parents about safety tips for back to school and starts at 3:00 at Riverside Early Learning Center in Monroe.

Back to School Safety Event!

On Sunday, August 15, 2010, we held Nevaeh's Back to School Safety Event at the Riverside Early Learning Center in Monroe.  The event was a great success thanks to those who worked tirelessly to put it all together.  Although we were competing with the Circus and the Monroe County Jazz Festival, we had well over 100 kids, and each of them received a hand-sewn tote bag filled with back to school supplies.  We served hotdogs, fresh-cooked sweet corn, chips, pretzels, cheetos, punch and iced tea.  But the most popular "foods" of the day--at least for the kids--were the snow cones and all-you-can-eat cotton candy!  And best of all, everything was free for everyone in attendance.

Another popular item with the kids were the boxes full of toys, games, puzzles, stuffed-animals--you name it!  Each child was given the chance to rummage through the boxes and take whatever they wanted.   Now, one would think doing something like that would be a recipe for disaster, but I'll tell you, these were some of the greatest kids we've ever had the pleasure of meeting.  Courteous, generous, sharing--they were just downright awesome kids.  And as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, I am certain that Nevaeh was looking down upon everyone, smiling ear to ear.

We will now begin planning our Second Annual Halloween Bash.  Stay tuned for the details.

MONROE, MI -- Justice for Nevaeh is inviting the public to participate in a poster canvassing event this Thursday.  The event is timed to publicize the increase of the reward in the Nevaeh Buchannan murder case to $50,000.  In May of 2009 the 5 year old was abducted from her apartment complex in Monroe, Michigan.  Her body was found a week and a half later.  Volunteers are asked to assemble at the Moose Lodge located at 1320 North Macomb Street in Monroe at 6:30pm.  Light refreshments will be provided.  Volunteers will receive  posters to hand out to neighbors, family and friends

There is also an updated story on Detroit news.  Unfortunately these stories came out yesterday and the event was yesterday.  Maybe the next one can get out a little more in advance so people could have time to plan on attending.

As you know, Justice for Nevaeh always announces these events at least a week in advance.  We held this event because we were alerted by the media Tuesday morning that someone not affiliated with Justice for Nevaeh, for whatever reason, contacted the media and told them that Justice for Nevaeh was having a poster event that night. Since we did not have the time to alert the public that the media reports were in error, and did not want people showing up to an empty room, we rearranged our schedules and held the event. So while we will gladly accept criticism where criticism is due, here, it is not due.  I don't know what the person's motive was in doing what they did, but whatever it was, it didn't work.

Thanks to everyone who attended, and to the media outlets for their outstanding coverage. Also, a very special thanks to the Moose Lodge for allowing us to use their facility with little advance notice.
