She is neither perfect...nor responsible. I guess I'm at least one ahead of the game...*pats self on the back*
I'd save that patting for another time..... because if you would have read my post, then this statement wouldn't exist. Unless of course, you're just as closed minded as most people I come in contact with....
As for the children born into poverty.... I am one of them. I was born into a household with an abusive father, of whom my mother got rid of, and then us three kids, plus my mother, lived on less than $8,000 a year. Yes, we received food stamps. Yes, we were in subsidized housing. My mother couldn't work, she was disabled. Does that make her stupid, NO.
We didn't ask for that life, but I thank God everyday for it! I didn't turn out like the spoiled brats who had the world handed to them on a silver platter. I learned at an early age to be responsible when it comes to money. Yes, sometimes we had to rob Peter to pay Paul, but just about everyone nowadays understands that. My mother ALWAYS found a way to make sure that there was food on the table, clothes on our bodies, and a roof over our head. Did we get the newest and greatest things? No. But again, I'm very thankful for that.
My mother, even though we were WAY below poverty level, made sure we were taken care of. So don't go and classify and lump everyone dealing with that, together. It's not the same.
But again, if you're closed minded.... then you won't be able to see that. Thankfully, my mother brought me up right.
