We’ve received word this afternoon that the St. Mary Catholic Central High School girls’ tennis team will wear wrist bands this season in memory of Munson Park plane crash pilot Rick Howell and his passengers. The Kestrels were at the tennis courts at Munson Park Tuesday afternoon and witnessed the crash. – Paula Wethington

We’ve just received a fax from the U.S. Postal Service Detroit office that its Passport Day event previously announced for Saturday April 9 has been canceled.
