UMMM chill out please...I know her personally and she wants you people to understand what is up with the headstone!
Dont u think that the family reads all this>>>??? they do!

Do you think for one minute she wants false gossip spreading???
because she doesnt!!!

If seems like its bothering you more than her!

Don't worry about me chilling.  I'm fine.

But, I don't think you're getting it.

Are you family?  I believe you're an acquaintance of the family, right?

Well, you're missing my point.  You're not feeling anything close to what the family feels about what has happened.  What you feel is miniscule to what is going on in their heads and hearts.

So, instead of "reporting directly from the source', I'm just wondering why you  can't just leave them alone.

And, I seriously doubt the family cares ONE BIT what goes on in these threads.

I would sooner believe that, though they appreciated the community outpouring of thoughts and prayers, that they would now appreciate people staying out of their business.

You need to think about this.

first i spoke with the graveyard attendent..and he said the tombstone will be arriving in the next couple of weeks.. you act like justbeingme is a rumor monger...she's only giving the information on what she know's...and what the public wants to know...do you know what acquaintance means... a person whom one knows but who is not a particularly close friend...sorry to say thats not what jbm is...she is a close friend to sherry aswell as mine and i thank her very much for keeping me informed...which is all she's trying to do...keep us informed...and jbm x2 on your last post

The Community foundation of Monroe is a real organization

Nobody said it wasn't a real organization. They simply questioned the ethics behind it, albeit without actually digging out any facts, but that's another post for another time.

From the sounds of it, justbeingme is providing this information with permission from the family. If they wished to be left alone and not allow us to have this information, the family would tell her directly to keep the information private and to tell us to mind our own business.  Seems to me you are trying to speak for the family which contradicts the message from justbeingme that is coming from the family.  Just my observation

OK...

The Community Foundation is an organization that does a lot in Monroe.  Probably the most trustworthy and established non-profit organization that supports MANY different causes and has always been found to follow through with handling all funds in a professional, ethical and accountable manner.

Why is the concept of LETTING THIS FAMILY GET ON WITH THEIR LIVES IN PEACE so difficult for some of you?

I am not attacking anyone.  I am not pointing my finger at anyone.

I am however HIGHLY DOUBTING that ANY OF YOU know what this family is feeling. (I don't care WHAT your affiliation is with them.)

I am HIGHLY DOUBTING that the family WANTS their personal business discussed on this forum, with every nook and cranny of their lives constantly discussed in the open for everyone to scrutinize.

I am HIGHLY DOUBTING that any of you who feel it is OK to run to "Sherry" (where is HER anonymity? ? ? ?) every time you want to "straighten out some facts" that have no business here in the first place.

I DO NOT DOUBT for a minute the good intentions here.

But, too many people have assumed positions of "surrogate family members" in this thing; when actually they are not.

The grandmother appears to be of a wonderful spirit who would NEVER tell people to leave her business alone.

And, that becomes interpreted that their lives continually invaded by "friends and strangers" is perfectly OK.

I'm simply trying to appeal to common sense.

Their business needs to be THEIR BUSINESS.

Why is that SO foreign to some of you?

Why do you make ME out to be some sort of villain.

They've been spread out for the general public to disect long enough.

My point is not to any ONE.  It's to EVERYONE.  Give them their privacy.

Paula, do you know whats going on and do they have to disclose what the money was spent on?

I'm out of the office today and Friday. I'll send a link to this thread to the city editor.

I'm with you 100% MM1......you are right on, but there are some here that insist on participating in the pain and pity that only the family should feel.

I think we are in the majority.....these other ones just don't want it to die as it appears they get some sort of fulfilment to keep talking about it....why, who the hell knows.

It's not worth arguing with them.....pity and pain must make them feel better.

Well said Orriv! I am unsure of the purpose of the thread myself and I do not understand what the alleged issue is. the toledo blade had posted around the time of the autopsy results that Sherry said the stone was coming. in the other thread I stated they take time. Let it go. I do not understand why a stranger is so worried about who paid for it and when. I know a lot of the people mean well but the headstone is none of our business unles people are woried about where the funds went. Let me remind you months ago people were on her complaining they did not want the family getting the money and it appears they didn't even though I feel Sherry should have to pay for some of he exspenses. I feel sorry for Sherry having to deal with the public everyday. stop bickering amongst ourselves and aim the anger at the monster who caused this not eachother. I am sure eventually the truth will come out and the person responsible will pay. Everyone tells someone eventually doesn't anyone watch 20/20 or Dateline? give it a rest till then and please back off of jbm she is very kind and cares about Sherry very much. jmo doesn't mean much I also do not like the person I turned into in May and June annd apologize for adding to the problem

I agree that no one can know how they feel. It's impossible.
However, they made their lives public and gave up their anonymity on TV and in the paper,  in search of that little girl. I am sure any of us would do the same. Everyone, including strangers, knows grandma's name now.

Arguing with someone who is trying to state facts and dispel rumors, is no more proactive than spreading the rumors.

x2 and then some!

FYI I am close to Sherry and that friendship grows more each day. I also knew Nevaeh well enough to know what her likes and dislikes were...how many of you can say that?
I would NEVER post anything without Sherry's knowledge of me doing so.
I talk with her on a daily basis about anything and everything she wants to let loose on. If you people think for one minute that the family doesnt read these forums or knows about them..then your as dumb as they come.
Do you all think that I am going to sit by and watch you all go at it like gossip mongers without saying a word..well then your'e all wrong!
Monroe has been and always will be a gossip center for attention. I simply tried to solve the problem here of whether or NOT the headstone was paid for and when it would be on the gravesite.
Whether or not I asked Sherry about it is between me and her not anyone else...but she did ask me to let you all know the truth so I did.
So,,,if you all want to give the family some PEACE...then be quiet and move on..and quit making new forums..sit back and wait for the murderer to be found...not worry whether or not the headstone got paid for nor worry how much money is in the fund...that is a private matter not a forum gossip center one.

x2.  I agree with you 100%

not surprised that neither of you GET it..cause you both are keeping up with the rudeness...and agreeing as usual with each other.....I GET why your doing it..cause you both think that your way is the ONLY way and that is to disagree with anyone about anything dont matter what it is! And you both have to keep up posting about it so you both have the last word in every forum....I get it ..but you dont!
