I think that was the most important point of this thread...that the fund designated for Nevaeh's funeral was not disclosing figures to the public. This has nothing to do with either family as they have nothing to do with it.

I read through this post, I think some people are on the same page and really don't realize it.

JBM and MM1 you both want the same thing, for the rumors to stop.  Angela, River a few others including myself are on that page too..  am I right, agreed!

I know for myself, I don't like these Neveah threads.  I think some of the worse in human behavior has been exhibited on these boards.  I really saw some of the most hateful things people can say to and about each other, and people they don't even know.

Then a couple of weeks ago, someone posted on a different Neveah thread that they were at the cemetery and there was no headstone..  Off and running!  people started questioning things, as if it were their business! I never opened the thread again, so I really don't know what happened.  I am sure it was the same as all the other threads.

I said at the time, it was only a "matter of time" before this topic would come up! About the fund and the money.. JMO.. it sickened me.

So I am going to say something about what kind of "heart" or "mindset" one should have when you give money in a situation.  You do it with unconditional love, you give it from the heart, and you don't worry about what the money is used for because it's no longer yours!

I have the same attitude about loaning money, I don't loan it, I gift it.  If I get it back great, if I don't, no problem.  I don't put expectations on things I cannot control, too many people do not realize that circumstances change, people change, and money is just something we have that comes and goes.. If I have enough money to loan to a friend, I have enough money to gift it, that way if I don't get it back, I still have my friend!

Now I don't want to argue, I don't want to pick apart charity.. I am just saying a community came together, there is still a lot of confusion, its not that people should Not care, it is they need to figure out where the boundaries are, and not cross them.

You took me wrong..people do need to know and have the right to know where it is going..but they are calling the Community Fund to find out How MUCH is in the fund...that is of a private matter..thats like calling a bank to find out how much you or I have in our accounts...by law they CANNOT give out that information.

So I will state, in bold, that I don't get it.
What I don't get more than anything, is WHY we have to keep up the arguments and insults about who gets it and who doesn't. If the family wants the public to know something, and approves of someone else stating it, then in my is opinion...."whatever"......it is not my decision to make. I don't have to agree or disagree with it, it's not up to me.

Don't worry, many don't get it.

And I'm sure the "inside track" of personal Buchanan Family information will continue to flow.

So, there IS a line between what is their PERSONAL information and what is perfectly OK for you to bring up both to Sherry personally (which is terrible IMO)  and then "report" here in the threads.



You're making my point.  But, you still don't get it.

What I do not get, is why you are not seeing that your constant pointing out what YOU think is inappropriate is what is causing all the argument.
Like I said, if the family doesn't mind people posting their personal info here, why is it bothering anyone else?
It is one thing to stop people from spreading nasty rumors, but it another thing when the truth is being told and someone is getting kicked around for that.
If it was your family, I could understand.

Once again I agree with River and Simone. Let's move on people nothing to see and imo let's stop making new Nevaeh threads unless something is actually newsworthy lets say an arrest! Stop bickering amongst ourselves and allow Sherry's friends to dispell the stupid rumors. I do believe the family reads this bs. I have a perfect record but still google myself from time to time. IMO Sherry owes no one an expaination for anything but maybe she feels the ned too dispel rumors or people will think she is hiding something which she clearly isn't back off she is a victim to.

Once again some of you, most of you, missed the whole point of the thread and took off running in another direction.

I really don't think people are off and running.  The original post IMO was a little on the side of accusing there is something going on with the fund money that is not on the "up and Up"

I believe it is to pay for Nevaeh's expenses correct?

People were fixated on whether or not the headstone was paid for correct?

JBM and Riv both clarified via The family the headstone has been paid for correct?

The paper said that left over money would go into the community fund to pay for other needed things for the "Community" Correct?

If there is something wrong in regards to the "fund" and whether or not the money was used to pay for something that pertains to Nevaeh, again here is an opinion, I think the family is in the position to "complain" or to ask for an accounting of the fund.

The Family is not complaining or making accusations that things are not on the "up and up" which was the original statement, in the first post of this topic that was started by Aunt B..

So again, I am asking, several other people are asking, for this to stop, at least lets give it a rest for awhile. 

If the fund is not on the "up and up" and is not covering the expenses, The family are the ones to make that accusation. 

So, I am now done with this topic.

I would like to ask that some of the other "regulars" who from the very beginning have been trying to inject some common sense into these threads, join me in ignoring this topic.

We are wasting our time, if we continue to respond to this, we are just giving fuel, lets let it go for now.  If the family one day comes forward and says "things are not on the up and up with this fund" then by all means join in.  Until then, it is not "our" business.

Your last sentence was truly uncalled for...making a mockery out of the anniversary of a murdered child... there definitely ISN'T any humor about it....you see all the time in the newspapers of people remembering their loved ones with memorials on the date they died...there is nothing wrong with it at all..as I said before if this was your child...you wouldnt want someone making fun of them at all!

Myself, mommyofanangel,2001graduate, and Aunt B with help from Shadow on Crime and a lot of others from here and not from here put a lot of effort into the ballon release. Unless you were there and felt the energy you wouldn't understand. A girl in the funeral procession released a pink balloon as she passed Munson Park. It was awesome and a huge show of support for the family. If it is that big of a deal I'll write you a check for the cleanup $10 should cover it right? After all I am sure unless you live in the house directly across from Munson it really didn't take more than 10 minutes if that. They stood out there and watched and not one of them seemed upset.

Ok, I started the darn thread because I wanted to k now wht the disclosure laws were in the state of Michigan.  Maybe I didnt make myself perfectly clear.  A group of us  (that dont frequent MT much anymore for reasones Im sure everyones aware of) were discussing the lack of a headstone on Nevaehs grave.  I saw this first hand when I went to visit my first grandchilds grave. So, our group who has been trying to think of somethng we could do in Nevaehs name and if the Community whatever its called isnt going to cover it then we were going to try and come up with some ideas to raise money for her headstone.  That being said,  Jesus H Christ I apologize for being concerned!!!!!  I dont think any of you are happy unless you are nitpicking about this or that. 

And Mary I miss you too hon but I will never come back here.  There are some real sick people that seem to "get off" on whatever crap they can start.  Must not get much action or attention at home is all I can say.  I will continue to read MEN but MT sucks.  There used to be some decent people here but it seems most of them have swayed to the "dark side". 

I never said anything, not once, about the family getting any monies.  I just want that baby to have a headstone and if I have to dig in my pocket and pay for it I will.  And good luck on your toy drive or whatever your trying to set up. It would be just short of amazing if you could all agree on something.  One minute you people have your own view and the next well...you switch "sides" yeah I said sides cuz thats how y'all act.  LIKE KIDS!!! I thought sidecars idea was the very best...adopt a river.  But opinions are like rear ends we all have them.!   JMO
