Dude.  I got this recipe a while back, but I can't find it.  My next door neighbor knows of someone that used to work there, or does work there and has the recipe (at least an extremely close clone).  I'll email him now and post it as soon as I get it.

This salsa is addicting!!   We did a side by side tasting, and the neighbors recipe was very close.   Looking forward to getting it again, I'm going to make it myself.

I like the hot better than the mild.  But . . mild will do in a pinch! :D

Someplace I've wanted to try.  I'm kinda addicted to Carl's Hideaway in Ida.  I guess the LaFiesta owners now own the old Jose''s in Dundee on the square.

yes they do...and carls is just ok imo...lafiesta has unique soft tacos also. their salsas are among the best.

i remember going to a different mexican restaurant for the first time other than lafiesta years n years ago...i ordered soft tacos...they came just like they come at taco bell...i was shocked lol.

I think it has too much cilantro for my taste. But I've never been a fan of cilantro anyhow so... go figure.

i love the hot and the mild.

I used to mix the 2 - more of the hot, with a touch of the mild to bring the heat down a TAD....not to much though!

We went there about an hour ago.
Yeah, my wife love's that place.
When we got close, I told my wife,"the place looked closed". My wife said, "there's cars in the back".
I parked up by the door saw the sign on the door. Closed No Power.

Sorry man, I'm working on it.  I helped him make it once.  I remember pouring a big can of tomato sauce in a blender, with the canned whole jalapeno's (drained/stemmed).  I seem to remember garlic, onions and pepper..  But, like I said, I must have lost the recipe.  He wrote me and said he'll type it out for me.. maybe someone will beat me to it.   I'll email him again.  I'm going to make it as soon as he sends it though..  Give me a bowl of that and a six pack and I'm good for the night.  :)

Try this - from what I remember, it's darn close!

1 - 29 oz. Tomato Sauce
1/8 TSP. Black Pepper
1/8 TSP. Garlic Powder
1/8 TSP. Salt
2-3 Jalapeno Peppers (canned whole/stemmed) - with some of the juice added to taste

Blend in a blender.  Add more peppers to taste.
