I will speak out for the middle class and the working people. My problem is, why do people always blame the poor? I agree most of the programs are mismanaged and wasteful. But why is all their anger directed at the poor. No anger towards the corporations that receive billions, why is that?
I know why, because the poor are our scapegoats. They are someone to look at, and say "I am better then that." Look at those lazy bums, taking my money. Putting them down makes people feel better about their own life.
The poor in this country are not the ones who steal your hard earned dollars. Your anger should be directed at our government, both parties, and the billions they waste. What poor people in our nation receive is nothing.
Contrary to popular belief, corporations recieve billions because they have a product to sell. Unlike government they don't have thugs (IRS) that come and arrest you and sieze your property because you don't buy what they have to sell. Hell, the government doesn't have anything to sell, except BS programs, and still throw you in jail and take your property.
You're right that the poor don't steal our money, the government does it for them!
Government gives them our dough through forced income redistribution, traps them in failed programs that keep them under government control, and tells them, "Now don't you feel better, look what we have done for you, vote for us again and we will give you MORE."
The government has NO mandate to be in the CHARITY business. The American people are better at taking care of our own than the government ever could be!
Just look to California right now.
People were taking care of people before the government even got off it's big lumbering butt!
I won't dispute you comment on government, the parties, and the billions they waste at all!!!
Katrina should have been a screaming wake up call about the effectiveness of massive government control and spending.
