Porcello finishes 3rd in AL Rookie of the Year Voting
« on: November 16, 2009, 05:40:15 PM »

Porcello finished 3rd behind Andrew Bailey of the A's and one point behind Andrus of Texas.
I think that's about right. Bailey was darn near unhittable in the closer role he won in May and Andrus did about as much as could be expected as a 20 year old playing the toughest position in baseball.

If anything I'm surprised Bailey won by such a wide margin,as good as he was his team was out of it by the All-Star break.

Porcello had a great year, thank goodness he turned out to be as good as he did or our pitching staff would have been in rough shape.
