I did see part of the public hearing rebroadcast, and it was said that there wouldn't be that much sediment that would cause mean future dredging.

Dan Stefanski (sp?) I think.

The dams hold back 70 plus years of pollution ( sediment).  It will stink for a while untill the river flushes itself naturally. I believe the river is cleaner now and pollution abatement is working for the most part.

Problems i see for the future is where does the sediment go? To the mouth of the river right? You see where im going with this? Boaters are going to *****!

Yeah, 70 years of crap, old tires, rotten wood, who knows what else and it will all flush to the mouth of the river, travel a few hundred yards and get sucked right back into the Monroe water treatment's plant intake pipe and sent (after minimal chlorination) to your faucet for your consumption..............

Also, in years to come, the weeds/grass that is currently in the river will become a problem around the mouth of the river once the weeds/grass resettles and starts growing again creating a problem for boaters and jet skiers. On the plus side, good place to fish for bass.

Did anyone else notice that when the vote was passed to open the dams to let the water flow to flush out the overgrowth, [they] decided to discontinue Monroe Mist bottled water…Coincidence? Hmmmm.
