I need a cruiser like one of those. I currently ride a Cannondale mountain bike but it's just not that comfortable anymore. I also have an ancient Raleigh ten speed I've been thinking of taking to Jack's for a complete overhaul. Anyway I like what you've done with yours.

Well, if you want one like the red bike, save yourself alot of time and money and get a Schwinn. You can even get modern repops of old cruiser bikes; Memory Lane Classics in Grand Rapids Ohio sells those, they look like the real thing, but they're made overseas and only cost a few hundred or so. Be prepared to spend anywhere between $1000-$1500 or more to get an original, rusty non Schwinn and restore it. It took me months to find the parts for that red bike, and I still haven't found a correct headlight.

Really, I have seen some pretty sweet old Schwinns, the consignment downtown had a couple but he was asking way to much for the condition they were in. Jacks also had some nice looking modern throw backs even a flat black on flat black rims I really liked. Seems like the old bicycle is really staring to make a comeback.

Oh, those Schwinns in that shop window in town? He wants a mint for those. For a few hundred bucks you can make a repop copy, provided you can do the paintwork yourself.

Well, if you decide to do it, you can get stencils on Ebay, you put them on the frame like stickers, paint and peel them off. If you do it right it looks original.

My red Roadmaster, I have no idea what the original paint looked like, records weren't kept like Schwinn, I only knew it was red, so I had it powder coated that way.
