A bajillion fuzzy dandelions. I just mowed a few days ago!!
Same here. Not sure if I should try a broadleaf weed killer to broadcast or something to attach to the garden hose to spray. Heck I sort of figured it was too late and the dandelions would just die back on their own. I'm not a fan of weed n feed products...I'm trying to "retard growth" and kill weeds. It would be nice if someone would reinvent a mower using some sort of laser to zap the grass blade tips...cauterizing...longer lasting good looking lawns is what I'm looking for...plus it would save time and money. Sorry...crazy dreams.

I don't like to use chemicals, either. Besides, when all the dandelions are in bloom, I find them to be very cheery. They always make me smile. My kids love to pick them and my bunnies love to eat them. And what kid doesn't love to blow the seeds into the breeze? Probably why I have a bumper crop this year!

Cool idea on the laser mower. I just wonder if the cauterized tips wouldn't be brown? That would remind me of the half black half blonde hair style I've seen.... lol

Whenever I see this thread, two songs immediately come to mind:

Breakbeat - Looking Out My Window - Tom Jones

I'm sure Fuzz has thought of this one a few times after visiting "home"...

Creedence Clearwater Revival: Lookin' Out My Back Door

Sunny(ish) skies and trip to Ohio on tap.  Now, where to have lunch. . . .

For great peel & eat shrimp overlooking the marina, there's:

For the best cheese & fruit platter and great wine selection, there's:

For the best mushroom soup and flakey, buttery croissants, there's:

or

And for a really great burger and watching the Jet Express and other boats come and go, there's:

That decision will be made on the spot and depending on the mood at the time.

I LOVE these kinds of problems.   :)

The morning was absolutely beautiful, but it has been slowly but continuously turning ugly.

Hopefully, the garbage will blow away soon.

The morning was far to beautiful to have it give way to this!

Boy was it a wasted effort to sweep up all the twirlygigs this morning.  :(  I should have waited. . . . I need some instruction on how to use the blower thing in the garage, using the push broom and the rake was hard work!   :-\

I don't get many in my yard - they all seem to find the eavestrough   ;D

My mower mulches them up eventually  - I can't have a pristine lawn with over an acre..   well I could but it's not a priority - just keeping the grass and weeds mowed is enough.  Wirlybirds season, then apples/pears/pinecones/walnuts...  lots of stuff to dodge or rake!

Well in the morning I saw lots of what looks like baby fishflies plastered to our windows.
