Still plugging away on that well across the field.  They have run a bunch of drill stem downhole in the past week.  Been watching the derrick caddy go from full to empty and back to full numerous times now.

Don't quite get it with crude being as cheap as it is, why they are 'sinking' so many bucks into a hole that won't be profitable....  I heard they were going horizontial and I suspect they are.  I also suspect they will frack the bore at some point.  I'll be watching for the fracking equipment to come in, then I'll know.  If they are in shale and frack, the well will produce but again, I don't see the percentage considering the per barrel price of crude today.

I saw two does wander into the back yard.

Mom must have been in the scrub, because after about 5 minutes they took off back in.

Sounded like lots of people were taking target practice.

Getting ready for opening day and then all the deer will be elsewhere.  Always plays that way.  Deer know better than hunters do, when opening day is....  I'll be sitting this one out as you know.

Hunters need to go into the woods and shoot their guns everyday of the year.  That will confuse the deer and they won't be so skittish on opening day..

We shoot out here all the time, winter, fall, summer and spring.  I have deer tracking across the property from North to South as the traverse from woodlot to woodlot.  Quincy's nose finds them every morning.  Will be bumper season soon.  Deer on the front bumper....lol

Nice,  Just had a power blip, and long enough to affect all my clocks.
