The remnants of the snow forts, walls and other things my boys built on Friday. They were melting! Spring is coming!!!!!

A TV upside down in a drift of snow. That is what is right outside my window. Lovely view, and nope, nothing good on.

Daily looked for, never here,
Still approaching, coming near.
Thousands for my visit wait,
But alas, for their fate,
Though they expect me to appear,
They will never find me here.
What am I?

I see my new peanut feeder hanging still full after almost a week.  There were a couple of jays that were interested in it the first day it was up, but, flew away after finding the nuts resistant.  Are my birds lazy or just not hungry enough? hmmm...

Maybe break a few and sprinkle the them on the ground around it. It may help coax them in.

Thanks Shep, I'll try this!  Yesterday, I poked a couple peanuts halfway out, to make it easier to get to them.

Noki... I love your humor... You have a very good eye... Yes I believe there is a TV out in a snow drift...

I see the river cleared of ice while I was away.

Nice to see it flowing again!

It wasn't today, but the other night. I was rinsing out a glass in the kitchen and looked out the window and saw a rabbit munching on the berries from our flowering crapabble tree. He ate what had fallen on the ground and then got on his hind legs and tried to shake the tree (it's still small) trying to get more. It was hilarious, the kids really got a kick out of it.

That's alright. Mud comes before dry ground every spring. :) The trouble is, I will be playing in it as I'm back to work the Monday after next. :D  Why can't spring just start out dry? ??? ??? ??? ???
