The pit is beautiful!

I don't know what it was outside my window, too dark to see, but it was making the most God awful sound this morning, grunting and kind of squealing, my first thought was a raccoon, but it was so loud, if the noises were to scare off something I hope it worked. If the noises were a mating call, I can only think..."no way!"

I just took a look out my window and I see my new firepit. I slaved over that thing, trying to put it together.  It took me about 90 minutes, but it was worth it!  The roasted marshmallows are going to taste good on some summer nights!

The tile work can be credited to Live Wire.  We spent 3 of the hottest days of summer in the pit a few years ago laying them in there.  He does good work!

I'll bet it was an opossum ShorTea...   they can be quite noisy...

Here are some sounds of an Australian opossum...   no picture, just sound...

You can go to YouTube and search opossum sounds and there's a vid there of a couple mating...

being as this is a family oriented forum I didn't want to post a link and corrupt a bunch of unsuspecting children :o :o :o

Drove by Valero gas station at N. Monroe and Hurd rd about 4:00 pm and there was a lady dressed in a white wedding dress and veil pumping gas into a car.

Wondered if she was going to a wedding or running away from one?

Pumping gas in a wedding gown, that's not a good omen. LOL ( I read that post again, I sound so snarky! But what I really want to know is why isn't the groom pumping the gas?  :D )

ShorTea, it's bad luck for the groom to see you in your wedding gown before you are walking down the aisle to be beside him ;)
