Yesterday afternoon out in the very muddy field that was beans last year we watched 7 deer meandering around.  Very strange time for them to be out like that.  Something must have chased them out of wherever they were laying low.

We just watched 10 deer go out and across the wide open field across the road.

Something has upset them two days in a row.  They'll be moving on rather than putting up with whatever that was.

I just took the trash out and it was snowing like mad.  Little tiny flakes I didn't even notice before I went out.

How many days until spring?

A long hour after we watched the deer go across the field I saw a critter that appeared to be 'tracking' where the deer had gone.

It looked like it might have been a little Beagle dog.  That would definitely be enough to push the deer out of the woods and across the field.

Don't tell CL that, she will want to bring it home..  Never said anything but we lost our pup about 6 weeks ago.  Miss her terribly.

The hound looked in good shape.  Wasn't running but walking pretty brisk with his nose to the ground.  It wasn't being much more than a bit or an irritant to the deer as they were probably a mile away by the time the dog came through.

MCRC just graded out road.  About time, it was past wicked.  Didn't slow anyone down though.  I could 'feel' the idiots shaking the house as they flew over the foot deep craters.

I guess the philosophy is, the faster you go, the smoother the ride is....

I'll have to do a 'car parts check' in on the berms later today, see how many mufflers, hubcaps shocks and suspension parts have been 'ejected' from the flying vehicles.

Was to the point where I was just crawling down the road at a couple mph.  Of course then I'd get a clown riding my bumper so I'd pull over and let them go on by.  Everyone is in a hurry to get nowhere or anxious to buy yet another vehicle because they pounded the one they have to death.

Said before, I'd never buy a used vehicle in Moron County.

They've been out on our road and filled the worst of the potholes.  The road is still far from smooth but I don't worry about cars going off the road as much now.
