This would be a perfect time to get rid of Rich Rod, further tarnishes a once proud program yet will be our coach yet again. Unbelievable.

Very minor infraction to be honest, probably just the loss of a scholarship or two.

RichRod cannot afford the loss of a scholarship or two!! Furthermore, the actual literature suggests some of these allegations could be of the major variety. My guess is you won't see any postseason ban or anything of that nature, however, I would, as history suggests, to see a loss in practice time, the loss of 1-5 scholarships, and a continuation of institutional probation that U of M is still on from the Fab Five/Ed Martin debacle.

I don't follow NCAA rules all that much, I didn't realize punishment carried over from one sport to another.

CK, It doesn't. However, the entire institution was on probation for the Ed Martin scandal, therefore any more blips on the radar are likely to have an effect on a continuance of that probation. The punishments I laid out are based on the history of these allegations.

Thanks for clarifying. I was a bit confused.

Without a 8-9 win season I think that RR will be fired after this season.

I'm just gonna say it right now, ya'll can mark it down.  Unless Michigan wins 9 games AND beats Ohio St. Rich Rod is gone.

So in other words what I am saying is......

This is Rich Rod's last year.  95% sure some fella from Standford is on the Ann Arbor radar.  Just sayin'!!!

I've read over that stuff too ebb. Even as an OSU fan, I love reading MGoblog. I don't think Michigan gets the hammer but I expect it to be a pretty tough punishment.
