Dingell Has to Go
« on: March 08, 2010, 11:03:49 PM »

The country is rushing toward a financial meltdown. It isn't a great revelation that government spending is out of control.

It is imperative that we elect a Congressional Representative that will tell the American people the truth about our financial situation, and lay on the line what needs to be done to turn things around.

John Dingel is not that man. Rather than address our growing debt crisis, he backs policies that will significantly exascerbate our dire situation. He must be replaced.

John promised his seat to a Republican?  Now that's bipartisanship!

Richardville is not a republican, he is a chameleon with an R out front. Watch as he changes his color to meet the changes of the political wind, it's hilarious!

I find it interesting that the tea partiers feel that Richardville isn't "conservative" enough so they CLAIM he isn't one of their Republicans.

Isn't it interesting that in Texas ALL tea partiers across the state were dissed in contests.  One state I would think would be very kind to them.

I agree!! Hilarious!!

Kind of like changing your screen name from 1republican to 1conservative.

Whichever way the wind is blowing!!

I'm sure another bandwagon will be along soon and you can jump on that one next.

only real problem i have with dingell is that he reminds me of preachers who make it a family business. you know the granddad is a preacher, the son is a preacher, and the grandson is too. same goes with a family business politician. the dad is a politician, the son is, and the grandson is type thing.

now they can't all have the calling, can they?  ;)

What in particular has you gunning for Dingell?

It can't be because he's old.....you're old too, right?

I suspect it's just that partisanship thing again....Dingell is a "D" and you're a "R"

A National Taxpayers Union study for 2008 rated Senators and Congressmen with regard to spending.

100% Is rated as taxpayer friendly
0%    Rated as big spender

Congressman Dingell rated a 7%.
Self described Socialist Bernie Sanders 18%

Average (R) Congressman       65%
Average (R) Senator               57%

Average (D) Congressman       11%
Average (D) Senator                 8%

Currently, we are looking at yearly trillion dollar plus deficits as far as the eye can see. Absolute insanity! In 10 years we could be paying $ 800 billion a year, or more, in interest on the debt alone!

Something must seriously be done to reduce spending, and soon. This year, the only thing we here in Monroe County can do is elect a Congressperson that will take on this difficult, but necessary, task.

There is absolutely no evidence that John Dingell is that man.
