I am not one to defend body odor, as I'm very sensitive to smells, but I've worked with enough 'non-Americans' to know that not all cultures are as odor-averse as we are. In fact, in some cultures, the more pungent the body odor, the more masculine the male. I've read that in 'natural' cultures, a woman's fertility can be detected by her 'aroma.' Talk about an aphrodisiac. Parfum au naturel.

It's all about hormones and pheromones.

Can't be absolutely sure but he looked quite American to me.

Sorry, I don't want to be around anybody that stinks.

And I have to wonder about how many germs that unwashed guy was harboring.

They deal with blood for crying out loud.

I should've walked out and explained why.

Next time that's exactly what I'll do.

I think naming this person and where he works is unbelievably cruel.   >:(

If you were so moved to address the issue, perhaps a more thoughtful and considerate thing to do would have been to put your thoughts to paper and discreetly send a letter (anonymously, to avoid divulging your precious identity . . .. something you did't mind divulging about him) to the supervisor/manager of the place of business.

But to post it all here, including his name, is very cruel.

Not surpising.  Just cruel. >:( >:( >:(

No brd.  You're wrong this time.  That post was wrong and should actually be deleted.  In fact, if the "poster"  8* had any class or conscience, he would delete it.

You know, there are those who can pop on here and defend the resident bully or "chastise" those for posting this and that in whatever thread that goes against their grain with absolutely no response or implication of needing popcorn.

Go pop your popcorn I guess, but don't respond to the point.  It might ruffle some feathers.

There.  You wanted drama?  Go get your popcorn.

The day is too beautiful.  No room for MT today.

You go, girl! (Aunt Lisa)
I'll happily be your cheering section.  You sound like the motivation I need to follow your example.   Hope the new lifestyle changes aren't too difficult.   Keep us posted.

Aunt Lisa, after 40 is wonderful. You have determination and confidence you didn't have earlier in life. Have fun, enjoy the changes, and love all the benefits of what you are doing for yourself.  :)

Cool, Lisa! Hope it goes well for you, especially the Chantix. I'm trying to talk H into doing that, too. Please let us know how it works.

We just put together a couple of those Lowe's construction kits for kids. The rabbits did NOT like all the hammering! I guess they thought we were "thumping" to alert them to danger, so they started "hammering" right along with us! lol Those little kits are not all that easy to figure out. I think IKEA has partnered with them to create unfathomable instructions!  8* But, it did get the girls to think spatially and do some problem solving.

Now I've turned the girls loose with my acrylic paints and brushes.... I'm afraid to go back in there! I'm sure there's a huge mess for me to clean up. They're so cute in their little Lowe's aprons, though!  :D

Monique, I love hearing about the girls' projects!

(but it makes me miss the grandkids even more---they live too far away to see often enough.  But n we get together we try to do some sneakily educational fun!)

So nice to hear about parents who can take the messes with the learning, and make it entertaining :).  And yes indeed, we found those kits to be in need of clearer instructions, too :o

I just saw an article a few days ago that IKEA is doing YouTube instructions for some of their furniture...   maybe you should suggest that Lowe's do the same ;) ;) ;)
