I just remembered ussoccer26 has left for basic training (@ the 12th June).   Hope all is going well for him!  Be safe, learn much, and come back strong and happy!

I'm thinking we REALLY need some rain.  This is getting serious, now.
A lot of my corn is showing signs of drought stress, and soybeans on sandy ground are shriveling up.

We had some storms go through last night, but they went all around us here in Milan.

Pray for rain!!!

We got a very light sprinkle of rain.  That's it.  Not enough to register in my rain gauge.

What a great weekend!   Completely unplugged from reality.   Near picture perfect weather.  Even waking up this morning to rain on the water was fantastic.  SO cozy.  It's a sign of a really great weekend when rain makes you happy, and not even because of farming!   :-\

I do understand though that it's getting (or have passed being) serious for the crops.  Where we were at it rained pretty good early today, but not for long.  By the time we hit the road to head home, the roads were already dry.    :(

Oh well.  Time to get ready for the work-week ahead and start the count down till next weekend!

Got a couple of very heavy down pours out to the fairgrounds this afternoon. Started about noon and ran everyone out from our hamfest early.
