Thinking how people just don't learn to slow down when the snow is falling

What a beautiful day outside today. Turn all the lights off and sit in front of the picture window with a warm cup of mocha, and watch the large snowflakes slowly drift to the ground. There's no wind to bluster them around. The yard is all white with a fresh coat of snow. Two squirrels are out chasing each other in the far corner of the yard, and a pair of cardinals are feasting on the sunflower seeds in the bird feeder. Some juncos and mourning doves are cleaning up the seeds on the ground below. So quiet and peaceful outside  today, nothing but tranquility.

God I wish I was at home enjoying this instead of busting my chops at work.

Thinking about going to work in the morning, scarf, hat, all bundled up for whatever the weather brings!

Before any of our retirees cheer "ninny ninny boo boo"  i'll say you guys better know where your warm slippers and coffee mugs are, set them out before you go to sleep, keep your cool heads and drink an extra cup of coffee for me!
