You cannot see it on TV because of the focus of the cameras but Michigan's safety #4 basically just wanders around on every play, he is flat out lost.

The two long passes where the corner got beat over the top with no safety help... on one was got sucked in so bad on a play fake he was still persuing the running back sweeping right, and on the other the pass play went to his right and he was breaking to the left, I would say he got faked out but there is one big problem... MSU didn't have a receiver anywhere near where he was running to.

Michigan's safeties line up 14-16 yards off the ball on EVERY play, regardless of down or distance.  So basically its 11 on 10 every down for the opposing offense.  The line just gets beat downby the second half getting double teamed on every play, and since UM only rushes 3 the linebackers are easily picked up any time we try to be "agressive".

I am holding onto my 7-5 prediction and coaching change at the end of the season.  Purdue and Penn St. are the only victories left on our schedule (Illinois is now in the L colum IMHO).  If you think today was bad... Iowa is going to shred our defense.  Cousins is a marginal QB, Iowa has a stud named Stanzi.

As of right now... Iowa 42-28.

I agree, JB......on the finishing record, and seeing the Illinois game as a win.  Illinois either looked damn good, or PSU was just rotten.  Hope you are right about RR packing it up....I just don't care for the guy at all, but I am concerned about the potential set back in getting the program back up and running with another coaching change.

This defense is just terrible, worst I've ever seen at MI.  There is a shining star in the nose tackle, Martin, but by the third quarter he is just worn down by double teams the whole game.  The secondary is just amazingly pathetic.  I can't tell if its lack of talent or what the deal actually is.

the talent isnt the greatest as of now...and the def coord's track record is very poor! if i recall...the incoming freshmen class is much better than we have right now.

denard has actually come back to earth the last two games...he isnt as good as he has looked but even so...he is much better than most and will only get better. he can turn on a dime! with pryor at the helm of this years michigan...we would be .500 at best!

i think richrod will be here next year no matter what! and im not saying thats a bad thing...his system needs one more year to prosper.

Yup....I agree, Nosh.

I just can't stand the guy.....he comes off like an idiot in front of the camera, and has brought shame to a program that stood for years as honorable.  I do like his offense though, really do....he just needs to realize that equal emphasis is needed on the defense in the Big 10.  This was his same demise at WVA.

Fuzz, I have to agree with you,the Bucks can be beat.I still think the Hawkeyes is best team in the Big 10.

As far as Sparty they do have a history of collapsing after a big win.I guess I've watched them too many years to really believe they are good enough to win the big 10. Oct. 30th @ Iowa becomes huge if they can beat Illinois and Northwestern and with their history that's a BIG IF.

I still think with the big Ten expanding to 12 teams they should play 11 conference games with one non-conference game to start the season.'course I'd like to see the rest of the "bowl coalition" conferences do the same.
