When I was in high school (in Cleveland), I delivered pizza's for a pizza parlor. Was part of the service and I usually got good tips too. I still remember my 'pizza keep warm' device. An inverted plunger suck between the seats with a large 12 volt bulb inside. The box went on top and it kept the pizza warm on the drive. I did it winter and summer, rain, shine snow or sleet. Was fun. Made pizza pies in the shop and played a lot of pin ball. Ci-Ci's Pizza on West 98th and Dennison Avenue to be exact. Once in a while I would get the heel end of the Mozzerllia cheese log to take home. I love that stuff.
I don't consider it wrong to order a pie when the weather is bad and you don't want to go out, so long as the tip is commensurate with the effort and weather conditions.
Our favorite is still Jets, the closest one is Tecumseh but they don't deliver over 5 miles each way so we order and pick up ourselves. I may try Papa Johns on Cabelas Drive. I get 30% off with my AMAC card.
