isn't it amazing that this picture has been around all these years and no one has ever seen these notes?  Did anyone play the tune and what does it sound like?

This reminds of an article I read on slashdot where they decyphered some symbols in a church and discovered it was a musical piece.

Here it is: http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/05/01/2047212

And the original story is here: http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSL014372920070501

Quote
LONDON (Reuters) - A Scottish church which featured in the best-selling novel "The Da Vinci Code" has revealed another mystery hidden in secret code for almost 600 years.

A father and son who became fascinated by symbols carved into the chapel's arches say they have deciphered a musical score encrypted in them.

It's reasonable to me. Da Vinci did other musical works and he liked to keep himself mysterious.
What significance it has to me, I don't know  :D

I think that man was a genius and we have just begun to uncover some of his intelligent works.
