Four Mid-Continental Football League semi pro games this Saturday, July 31 at the University of Toledo's Glass Bowl:
11am Wisconsin Wolfpack (0-0) vs. Southern Michigan Timberwolves (3-1) T-Wolves have silenced some doubters by winning three straight after losing the opener. Wolfpack draw a tough opener on the road against against an already battle tested team.
2pm Detroit Diesels vs. Flint Fury (0-3) The Diesels fill in as the only Non-MCFL team playing Saturday to challenge the Fury. Both teams finished strong last season. Fury off to a slow start, while the Diesels have turned it on the past few weeks. Diesels are coached by Monroe's Brad Bentley.
5pm Kings Comets (1-1) vs. Indiana Mustangs (2-2) Defending MCFL Champion Kings Comets are coming off one of their biggest wins in franchise history, which immediately followed one of their worst losses. The Mustangs have looked great in their two wins, and not so great in their two losses. The team that travels better will have the advantage.
8pm Louisville Bulls (2-1) vs. Detroit Seminoles (3-1) Perhaps the most important game of the day. Both teams fell from the ranks of the undefeated in their MCFL openers last week in games that each expected to win. Dropping to 0-2 in league play will make a tough road for the team that doesn't come out on top in this one.
Admission is $10 for a wristband good for all day. Students are $5 for all day. 5 years and under are free.
MCFL t-shirts will be available for $10 (100 of them) until they are gone. Programs, T-Wolves merchandise, and concessions will also be available near the entrance.
Players and staff will enter for their game on the Northeast corner of the stadium. The spectator entrance being used is on the West side (press box side) of the stadium.
