Hunters?

Any hunters out there?

My husband is hoping to get up north for Thursday, but don't know if work will allow it.  He has a local site too, but would like to make it up to the lake for Opening Day.

Don't know what we'll do if he actually gets one - - probably donate it or give it to a friend.

Did you hear MomEm's remark Satuday night about the "corner bar" outside Harrison....

Hehe ... I used to hunt near Harrison.. Maybe I have been to that same corner bar!

I'm going to make it out for opening day here in Michigan, Lenawee Co. specifically. I just bought a new muzzle loader and can't wait to take it out into the woods in search of Bambi's daddy.

Sort of close...   

the closest such "entertainment" that I know of and I lived up there for 30+ years...   

less than an hours drive right down US 27....   less if they are hunting on the south side of Higgins Lake...

Please note MomEm...

Ok...   good....   all is well...

An old story....   hunter is geting ready to go hunting for a week up north...   asks his wife to make sure she packs his slippers (I've heard it with everything imaginable)...

when he gets back home after stumbling around in the woods for a week just trying to put meat on the family table....

he asks his wife why she didn't pack his slippers...

she says, "I did"....   I put them in the case with your rifle  (or bow or musket) >:( >:( >:(

anyway, tell hubby good luck hunting ;) ;) ;)
