I used to hunt a lot when I was a kid and did until a few years ago, just kind of lost interest in it...But, if I ever got the urge one of these years, I'd go hunting again...

I always vote for sportsmen's rights...That much is very important to me...

Hey, don't knock it!   :D

When I go to J&R Farm Tractor, I always go across the street and check out the babes at Crafts 2000.   ;D ;D

Any women hunters out there?  That would be really hot - to go hunting with a woman that loves hunting.  If there is such a thing...   Dream on, livewire....  I have a better chance of winning the lottery.  Twice.

Would you feel sympathetic if someone shot him, or if he fell out of a hunting blind or tripped over a broken down fence line?

I took strong offense at your other post as I have several people close to me who hunt. Now here you say your nephew who lives in your house is off hunting.

Were you trying to elicit a strong response?

No, I would not feel sorry for my nephew if he were injured hunting.  He is aware that there is a potential danger in what he does, and he takes proper precautions.  I have no right to *tell* him what to do or not to.  Hunting is legal, and it's a free country. However, I am an animal activist and have a strong dislike for hunting.  I think it's violent and cruel, and obviously, others don't agree with me, which is FINE.  It would be a very boring world indeed if everyone in life had the same thoughts on everything.

I am entitled to my opinion (as are you), and have no qualms about stating it.  If someone starts a topic and asks for opinions, I have just as much a right to state mine as you do yours.  Not trying to elicit anything from anyone.  Just stating my opinion, as I always do.  I truly could care less what others think about my opinion and if people try to *attack* me on this board, so be it.  It does not bother me, and actually kinda amuses me.

Well said, Lawgirl.  I strongly disagree with your viewpoint in this case, but I respect your opinion.  You sound rational and thoughtful, rather than crazy with emotion and anger, the way some people view animal activists.

Perhaps you meant you couldn't care less. Stating you could care less means there is room for more apathy.

Anyway, you are correct in your right to your opinions. I apologize. However, I would sacrifice millions of animals if it would save one human. I just could never place animals above people.

Thanks Livewire.  Yea, I am totally rationale.  I don't tell others what to do, don't try to stop others from eating meat.  I just say "to each their own."  I don't push my views on others, but I very obviously have strong opinions, LOL.  I am for sure not one of those red paint throwing PETA people.
